Liverpool going to absolutely walk the league next season like, even moreso than last season. None of the teams around then have improved much at all, Chelsea may be the exception but not enough to mount a serious title challenge, Arsenal have slightly, and City are completely finished. Won't even mention us. Whilst Liverpool have improved massively, signings they've made and getting rid of Trent, much stronger than last season. Sickening.

Takes us a month to sign anyone man, and thats when we've been "considering an offer" for about 3 months before that
-
Aye, it's starting to look like we're going to start the season with the same squad we have now basically. Absolute disaster of a window so far
-
It does feel inevitable that we're going to end up with DCL like, him or Andy Carroll, sure Dagenham would do us a good deal.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)
NUFCDoog replied to Miggys First Goal's topic in Football
Scenes on August 16th when we've missed out on Ekitike, sold Isak and big DCL leading the line at Villa. -
Main BBC Football page story is live coverage of this friendly ffs. Obv the Jota stuff, sad and all that, but not sure this friendly warrants this sort of coverage. Fuck off Liverpool

Official account posting a happy birthday to Amad Bloke played for them for one season. On loan. 2 years ago. That's so weird man.

When you buy a player from a lesser club, and Everton currently are, it's never a good sign when they're not arsed to be losing them at all.

Christ, definitely not looking for attention like, it's just clearly not as cut and dry as people seem to think on here. They won't finish rock bottom, would be willing to put money on that for those that are so confident they will... They'll surprise a few. If it wasn't these bastards id be quite looking forward to seeing how they do. The start they make will shape everything mind, if they do start bad theyll be in bother.
-
I hope you're right and would love nothing more than to be proved wrong. I don't see it however, see no situation where they don't at least finish above Leeds and Burnley.
-
Fair play to them like, and they've got every right to be excited, yeah the signings might not work but they're signing players for good money and strengthening their squad. They're going to be excited given whats happened the last few years. It's sickening obviously and I hope they plummet straight back down, but there's a feel good atmosphere around the club, they've made some signings that if they work out will surprise teams next season. Their start is favourable, with all the above I can definitely see them pick up a fair few points in the first month or two then who knows where that momentum takes them? Said all along, I think they'll stay up. Fairly comfortably as well, as in not in the battle towards end of season, not saying theyll finish top half or anything.

Contract runs out 3 days ago and then the charges are made. Interesting.

Way we're going id take Emile Heskey

We need a hell of a good 6 weeks like to be anywhere near prepared for next season. Not trying to bedwet or anything, but seeing sides signing players and spending big whilst we're fucking around with a keeper we don't really need and losing out on Pedro is slightly worrying to say the least.

Going to be one of the only nations to win the Euros a couple times in a row and still fail at the main tournament like, usually wins like this are a prelude to the main team winning a Euros or World Cup but feels like we're further away than ever

Why two? Finish above Leeds, Burnley and Brentford will be enough. I think Bournemouth, depending on who else they lose/bring in will struggle, West Ham are a bit of an unknown and yeah 100% Brentford, they'll really struggle. Sunderlands opening fixtures also are fairly kind, if they get off to a good start thats a big plus and confidence will build from there. Let's not forget also, it was only 3 years ago Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest came up through the play offs and all are still there now and thriving, especially Forest who were nobodies, as in came from nowhere compared to season before, so whilst we say the gap is so huge, it's only been the last two seasons thats been evident so too early to say thats the norm. I dunno, feels like they have some momentum and their style of play is more suited to the PL
-
They're not going to be half as bad as some think on here like. I do think they have a chance at staying up annoyingly.
-
Can't hear myself think with this atmosphere...
-
Brentford aren't half keen to give one of the promoted teams a proper chance at staying up

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26
NUFCDoog replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
It is annoying like, ive already bought (very expensive) trains for the Saturday morning, and made work commitments on the Friday; had I known there'd be a Friday game I'd likely have booked off work and stayed over etc. Even more frustrating as it will also mean there'll be two separate squads most likely now, so you're not getting a full side. -
Anderson at CB?
-
The leaks morning of are usually right, especially the ones in here.

That's a brutal start, but can be good to play a team like Liverpool early, especially at home. Could be like the Sir Bobby days in terms of points in mid September mind if we don't start well, be all good though.

Grand scheme of things, doesn't matter, no one really cares and it'll be forgotten about in a couple of weeks. Will still at least reach the Quarters at the World Cup regardless.
