Seeing what is (or not) happening to us right now, which scenario would you have preferred when the final whistle blew at the end of last season? Scenario A: Bruno, Isak and Gordon staying at the club but no marquee signing at all by the club? Scenario B: Bruno or Isak or Gordan or all three of them sold and we signed a number of players but perhaps not the same as those sold?

Since it's this late on the window already, I really want him to stay. Atleast until January.

Can't fathom the moment when we get injuries all over the team with no replacements and we start saying January is a tough market. De ja vu.

Whatever happened to the supposed training kit sponsor or something like that when we launched the home kit?

Thread title change - Mikel Merino (now playing for the cunt Mikel Arteta)

Can't be comparing "it's a success keeping Matty Longstaff, Jeff Hendrick and ASM" to "it's a success keeping Bruno Guimares, Aleksander Isak and Anthony Gordon".

Just over a year since he moved to a new country, new club. Getting to meet new teammates and people, training at a new training ground. Learning a new language. Eating different food, walking along and going to new surroundings, new environment. All in that time, despite being out of action, he was still training and hopefully getting used to how he should be playing when he returns. This feels totally different to a player being out injured for a year and about to return. Here, we have a player ready to return and he's a special talented player too.

Won't be surprised if a player decides to wear the fan version instead. Some were visibly disturbed by the collar. Nothing would stop a player wearing the fans version I'd think seeing what players do to their kits anyways. Making holes at the back of their socks is an example. Also remember Bellamy used to cut out his collar on the home shirt too.

Rest Bruno..let Trippier captain the team one last time if he is still here by Wednesday and won't be here by next Sunday. By the way, I can never get Ian fucking Woan out of my head everytime I see Forest vs Newcastle at the City Ground. Scarred me for life that one. Hopefully I don't get the same problem with the Chris Wood Boxing Day hattrick too. Ffs.

How have we been? Just got home and started watching.

Can't remember that well but last season's game down there, was our squad depleted with injuries at the time?

Unsolicited text messages to junior members of staff apparently.

Really want to know what he did like. Pretty serious stuff yo be sacked off straight away.

Just seeing this guy saying his name in that Sky Sports pronouncing names video, makes me so excited to see him on yhe pitch and playing for us again. SAN-DRO TO-NA-LI

As much as I admire Trippier and love him for how he helped turn the club around, I have somewhatost my attachment to him in the last 6 months or so. Something just doen't seem right. I can probably point to that incident he had with one of our muppet fans down at Bournemouth and found it surprising he would react in such a way, although entirely justifiable too, that he was finding the going tough. Maybe personally, maybe age-wise was catching up. Even when he was with England at the Euros, I felt a bit strange watching him as if it was an indicator for me that he won't be our player for much longer. I'm just rambling at this point now but I truly do appreciate and love him for how he lead the team in his time here but if he wants to leave, whatever the reason he gives, then just let him leave.

For me, this is one thing that I hope won't be an issue, partly due to who our owners are and who are running the club. PIF would want to showcase to the world that they mean business and they are not building just another stadium. Although admiittedly they have many ambitious yet dubious projects going on in their country, we know the Saudis don't settle for something normal. Thus, if they are going to invest in a new stadium, it probably won't look like St.Mary's or the Stadium of Shite down the road. On another positive note, you'd think Darren Eales coming from Atlanta United in the states and their impressive stadium (not sure, but was he part of the stadium planning too?), would know what is needed for our new one. I doubt we'd settle for something generic after seeing the revenue that Atlanta make.over ther and what Spurs are making from their multi-purpose stadium over here. Lastly, money would 'probably' not be an issue to fund a mega, state of the art stadium for our owners. They'll hopefully fund whatver it takes and costs to make the stadium the best above the rest so hopefully we do get something great. These are just my opinion and I maybe wrong in my observations but 'We still have wild dreams'.

Geting all the negative comment (from me included) after his performance last weekend, cue him scoring a hattrick against Bournemouth on Saturday to answer his critics.

Fair play to whoever it was on here who kept on insisting the away kit looks really good in person before the official launch and it was better than the leaked pictures suggested. Seems a lot on here agree now with that.

I had a bad feeling in my gut (based on nothing), he didn't look happy when coming off and it crossed my mind it was as if he was leaving soon. Just me being paranoid I guess.

Going to win the leaygue now, maara!!!! FTM! Going to let them have their day. We'll see where they are in around October.

this fucking thread man. People will be questioning why we sold him even on the day he retires, and that's a long way to go I'd imagine. I came in to see why the thread is still at the top, saw it's the same repetitve issues. So, not going to come in again. We sold him. He's another club's player. Might as well support players we have right now than crying over what we don't have. Not the first time we've sold a player for peanuts anyways. Get over it. Move on.

I'm so glad the fangs on our home shorts are black and not whotenor any different colour. The other adidas clubs had visible fangs on their shorts apart from us and Villa. And I like that we're back in black socks again this season. Seeing adidas ads on the LED boards is much better than seeing Castore ones too.
