If you any of you would take a second to look at that list you'd see it's utter nonsense. At least some sensible people have questioned it. That's suggesting we have 21 Casemiro's.

Look, it's one game. A derby, our best players back from AFCON, new manager bounce etc. I'm not going to read too much into it because that would be very silly. But fuck me I've never seen City slapped like that before. That was a slaughter. 3/4 great saves from Donnarumma, three disallowed goals, post, crossbar. An absolute mauling. Give Carrick the keys to Manchester IYAM.

I am searching for abstract ways of expressing reality, abstract forms that will enlighten my own mystery.

I'm not sure on the stats but I'd say De Ligt has won more trophies than your entire squad put together.
-
In that case, lets just say it's £100k.

They won't be same the summer, but they won't be a kick in the arse away from each other. You expecting any of your big earners to leave in the summer?
-
One is 0.001% and the other is 2.5%. Fairly significant if you ask me.

Name me one canteen lady you know. We need to stop pretending we care about kitchen staff.

1) He's on £195k. Stop adding little bits on to try and reinforce your argument. 2) Until his injury De Ligt has arguably been our best player this season. Worth every penny we've paid for him. 3) When we signed him he had just turned 25, and had won trophies in three different countries and had captained Ajax at 18. Extremely experienced. 4) When we signed him, we had just qualified for Europe. So the "that seems a lot of money for a team that finished 15th" argument is entirely irrelevant. Friendly reminder that your wage bill is reported as £2.3m per week and ours is £3.1m per week with our two highest earners earning a combined 650k expected to leave in the summer. I'm going to enjoy the finance talks in a 6-12 months time.

What else are you going to do at half 7 on a Tuesday?

Rising to £13m or something due to performance based add-ons. The £500k was nice.

I actually treasure that. Hanging proudly in my wardrobe, next to the Bill Cosby sweaters.

When I was in Newcastle last time Bandit asked me if I could get him tickets for Old Trafford. True story.

Stay out of this Ian. You're too nice to get caught in the crossfire.
-
Honestly, I'm starting to think this is a possibility at this point.

There's nothing exotic about the truth.

You got me. Despite saying in the same thread I think Garnacho is worth £50m, I definitely was serious suggesting he was worth £120m.
-
No admission of being wrong I see, despite the evidence. Best you've got is to bring up a tongue in cheek post where I suggest Garnacho is worth £120m. I rest my case your honour.

Well that's the goal. I hope you are entertained. Especially since I somewhat like you now.

Also, one was a teenager, regularly playing for a big club, regularly playing in Europe, scored in a cup final etc. etc. Some would say this is somewhat important. So no, not right.

That's what my friends call me.

Where's the lies KaKa? You're just misremembering. I was asked what I would want if we were to sell Garnacho. Bare in mind this was in the summer of 2025, after he just had a 20+ G&A season. I said I would want £50-60m to entertain it and would prefer if he wasn't sold. Throughout the season I reduced this to reflect his performances and situation, since he was losing favour with Amorim which would obviously reduce his value. You seem to be taking some sort of moral high ground that after he had a poor season, we sold him for £40m, which is really weird. Don't forget we have a 10% sell on as well. When he's inevitably sold for a profit by Chelsea, the total amount we receive won't even be a kick in the arse off the original amount I said.
