Familiar with him are you aye?
-
Just that personal terms were agreed and Martinez wanted the move, but he was the backup option if we couldn't get Lammens done, which we did. Big pressure on a 23 year old who's probably going to find himself as the #1 in a few weeks.

You have to say, it's entertaining. Felt like the last couple of deadline days have been boring but I'm maybe not remembering correctly.
-
What happened to not accepting a penny below £150m for Isak as well, pal?
-
Plus a 10% sell on. But that's what happens when your players hold you to ransom. Tell you what though, the Mbeumo and Cunha fees look like huge bargains now.
-
We have to beg teams to take our £73m flops for free. Fuck this.
-
I think so, if not it'll be extremely close. Sources saying his book value is anything from £38m to £43m. Total package for him will be €50m if the clause is triggered. €50m is around £43m.
-
But don't people look at that as an issue with the club rather than the manager?
-
Well I don't know what an overpay is anymore.
-
He finished third and won two trophies in two years. Don't think Ten Hag came away from us with a bad rep. Feels stupidly harsh from Leverkusen. Two games.
-
Is £55m a lot given what other players are going for? He scored 19 league goals last season. Players are moving from the Championship for over £40m.
-
Bomb squad all gone.
-
Martinez is one of the best in the league from set pieces though. That's where we're giving up goals.
-
He absolutely is. Would be unreal for Villa. £45m.
-
7pm deadline day finish is nice.
-
Because we haven't signed him yet. I'd be shocked if the fee is anywhere near that. Martinez makes his fair share of errors as well, but he is commanding when it comes to set pieces I suppose. £18m and a 75% sell on.
-
Unless they had a clause where they could recall him, they'd have to compensate Sunderland to a level they found acceptable. Probably paid millions for fuck all like the did with Sancho.
-
With the wonderful benefit of hindsight, maybe.
-
£1b spent and 6 years into a project and Arteta is serving up shite.
-
Never in a million years.
-
Romano being a fucking loser.
-
So Brummie reckons if our €25m deal for 23 year old Lammens falls through, our back up plan is £45m for 33 year old Martinez? I really can't see the fee being that high. Would be mental from us to pay anywhere near it.

I know the offsides came down to the bit above the elbow and it's marginal, but to say there's no part of the Burnley player that is in front of Dalot is baffling when it's right there in front of you. It doesn't matter where the lines are drawn from, you can use them to determine where the body parts are. Also, gentle reminder that this was an automated offside. Technology that uses 10,000 data points on a players body to determine if it was offside. Still we have people arguing it's a bad decision and shouting corruption, simply because it's a "cartel" club. Proper embarrassing stuff.

Honestly, are you winding me up? Look at the lines on the ground and then move your way upwards. There's no way you think that the feet, knee etc. of the Burnley player are behind Dalot.
