Exactly. Wages are just a big of an issue for us along with the huge fees being asked.

Like what? What new insight is there ever in football? Give me an example of what you’d expect?

What do posters actually expect to read from a journalist probably required to do a piece per day on NUFC as per their contracts? Always baffles me the grief they get

Anyone think we are waiting on West Ham to panic sell Kudus?

Regarding realistic I think it’s a problem we all pretty much suffer from… The idea of have a great squad with depth to allow us to compete in ALL competitions season in and out. It feels unrealistic. It really shouldn’t with these owners and their ambition. Just what we’ve become accustomed to over the decades.

He might be #1 in 12 months if Isak doesn’t re-sign and we cash in with 2yrs left… We’ve 8 extra games this season and with a decent squad hopefully that will be the norm every year regardless of level of European competition. Loads of opportunities for him to start and Isak to sit out.

My issue with Dyer was always his lazy short passing. Think I used to highlight it on here 20+ years ago He had a bad habit of passing it to someone shin height so they needed to take a touch rather than take care with the weight and precision so you could receive and move it on without needing that extra touch.

You think like that and you are ultimately not signing any forwards. As great a player as he is in all 3 of his seasons there are numerous times he’s needed resting or playing not fully fit. Also we’ve got to look beyond 433 all the time and be able to play different formations etc.

Yeah. If we do as much in depth homework as we allegedly do. Then makes perfect sense if the same player for same position comes available again we’d revisit if the parameters of the financial package haven’t changed unreasonably. Hence my only doubt with this link. Like @The College Dropout said i think in some games he could actually displace Joelinton in midfield. Feel his ability is a little wasted too high up the pitch.

Will be surprised if we sign anyone older than 24 this season.

Always wanted to sign him. Was disappointed we didn’t get him (along with Isak) the first time. Paying double/triple is a bit silly if the prices quoted are to be believed.

Imagine all those memberships sold…

Need more homegrown for our UCL squad the issue I believe. Guessing reserve GK’s the easiest to achieve that without costing any money (?)

So who’s everyone’s money on for first serious embedded tweet leading to our first signing?

@patrone @bobbydazzla Finally… a benefit of auto renewal I can highlight Unless you don’t need to be a member to purchase?
-
Does it really matter how much work we’ve done on the deal though in reality? It could be seen as we’ve done everyone’s homework for them and they just hand it in by trumping our wage offer and contract length.

Didn’t he get homesick moving from south coast to London or somewhere similar? Appreciate he was young at the time..

Just need the same to happen regards Guehi.

I think Willock could be a short term answer. Strange he never been tried played in the middle. Has shown in the past he can finish both feet and in the air.
