Just came in to post that very same thing. There was a moment near the end where we had lost the ball and he looked very uncomfortable slowly trotting back with the attack leaving him in his wake. Longstaff seemed to recover better but at the time he looked distraught.

Thought they looked good preseason and most games this season. Just lacked a killer touch in many games. This one no different.

I guess the argument would be then that those propping it up financially now want a go at propping it up vocally. Will be wise to delay judgment on things until end of the season with regards to the vocal atmospheres Home & Away. Went to Fulham, Spurs, Brentford, Villa, Chelsea and another that escapes me away last season. Felt Fulham was flat for spells then canny but then the game was flat also as jeopardy removed early in the game. Spurs not great either but was a nervy 90mins and weather awful with no cover. Brentford was canny but limited allocation. Villa was terrible but we hardly touched the ball. Chelsea was great but no jeopardy in the game. 1 Loss. 1 Draw. 3 Wins. So far I feel home games are slightly better than last season’s corresponding fixtures but they’ve all been pretty good games were the crowd has felt it’s needed to play it’s part Palace aside. 1 very late loss and 6 wins. Haven’t touched on the UCL games obviously. Honestly think far too much is being made of the ticketing but still early days.

This looks canny. If only our stadium wasn’t lopsided…

Because the tool’s apology won’t garner as much or any if at all coverage compared to the damage he caused with a blank two weeks to fill before the next game. Damage if only minor already done. Does that help?

Playing devils advocate how have they been the ones propping the club up for years? The ones refusing to fall in line with ID checks mustn’t have had STs and amassed any of their own away points hence depending on others so all their money a part from £1 per booking has been propping up the opposition clubs surely at £30 per game? If they did have STs and propping up the club they could’ve attended Gateshead & Rangers and those 2 loyalty points would’ve been enough to get tickets for first few aways this season alone.

Was surprised to see him subbed. Freshest legs out of all our players and can’t play our next home game seemed to point to him getting 90mins yesterday. Thought he passed and moved well in those few decent triangles we played near the touch line. Was probably up against their most dangerous player which might of swayed EH mind with the game still at 0-0.

Doesn’t he have to visit Italy weekly for his gambling addicts group? Pretty sure I read that (thinking at the time that won’t help him settle here).

Everton the year before last…

It’s the very definition of one… altercation noun a noisy argument or disagreement, especially in public. For KT to hear something he must’ve been shouting away well before the video started.

Believe should go up but expectation shouldn’t. Unless of course you don’t know how football works and how narrow the margins are between the top and the bottom of the table. Just going off last season alone when we arguably put out a stronger first XI and still we were a bit fortunate to get a 1-1 draw down there. At home we were fortunate to get a 1-1 as thought they were also the better team marginally up here for spells of the game and it took a penalty to get us level. Then we played them at home in the Cup and it took a fortunate OG to secure us a narrow victory. Over a season we are a better team but don’t for once think these are going to be a pushover at home. We need to get the first goal IMO.

That and they’ve pretty much introduced it in a relaxed way to away tickets in a way and look at the fuss that has caused. Like I said earlier reverting back to physical tickets would eradicate this 99%. If touts can only sell them face to face locally you’ve instantly decreased the geographical area of sale as unable to send instantly payment and electronically transfer ticket and increased the jeopardy on the seller (as ticket not sold until 24/48hrs before game and could be let down by buyer or confronted by an official or someone physically intimidating etc. Those selling from an ST would have to trust that person with their ST and have to hang around for them to return it post match etc. At the very least this would drop the numbers and the prices.

At the time wasn’t Praet rated higher than Tielemans?
-
Nah I think it was a Mike Ashley thing bit like the long term deals for home games. Locking in as much as possible to his shit show. Could be wrong though ??

Seem to recall around 2008/9 but couldn’t swear by it.

If we went back to 100% physical tickets the numbers would drop significantly. Digital tickets far to easy to transfer geographically. The remaining locally would have to transfer face to face and would probably have far less bottle to ask for such high prices. On another subject do you all think the ID checks are to whittle down the misuse of remaining Away ST holders? Apparently still 50-60 in existence. Wasn’t sure but thought they’d ran their course years ago. https://x.com/chariiebennett/status/1722909188894925179?s=46&t=DDNXUN2PoOBhgKmoF77zNw

Maddison and Van De Ven out until 2024 so miss our game. Richarlison 50/50. Quite a costly game (v Chelsea) it turned out to be.

Sadly though with these types of people it extends to most their social activities be it holidays or nights out. UK is basically a high proportion of functioning alcoholics ? Id be hypocritical if I said I’d never done it once when very young but usually once is enough. The state of people the whole trip (all ages) and the behaviour it leads to… ?

The problem refs will always face apart from players trying to con them every second of the game is football is one of the few sports where it is deemed that the ref has a responsibility to keep the players on the pitch for the spectacle so they are now being forced to go against the rules of the game the later in the match it goes. Also it seems to be forgotten but refs should never be expected to ref in the same as each other. Part of the game is sussing out what kind of referee you have on your hands. That’s why expecting consistency amongst referees over a season has always felt like a fool’s errand to me. Media scrutiny and the likes of VAR have brainwashed fans unfortunately.

This point makes no sense at all. Dortmund sold out at 41 points using a system you are requesting ? Lyrics have changed to reflect last Wednesday night. Kraft & Dummet at the back Tino on the overlap Ritchie staying for 10 more years Geordie Boys are on the beers…

Done 3 games this week and in order I’d say Arsenal > Man Utd > Dortmund… As much as people moan about SJP I definitely enjoy home games more than aways these days when in the past it was always the other way in the 90’s/00’s. Too much is read into it all mind. Goals and/or a great performance go a long way. On a personal note I started probably our biggest chant tonight (Pogo if you love the Toon) in response to the Yellow Wall ?

Been impressed with Dortmund both legs. Hadn’t seen them play for a long time. Better than us physically and technically for the most part. Might have been different if we’d scored at least once to see if they’d wobble. Who was on here thinking we’d hammer them at home again?

Any Dortmund team news? They back to full strength?
