They possibly had a cup distraction one year but just got a funny feeling about Liverpool winning all their games by simply out scoring them now that their forward line has returned. Ive noted they play Leicester away before we play them at home so hoping that’s if anywhere they drop points now that the home fans have the clappers back out. Oddly fear Liverpool catching up more than Man Utd staying in the top 4 if they navigate Leicester and Brighton beat Man Utd so maybe they will take their place and not ours ??? Imagine? I remember 95/96 still not to need too ?

I just think a point is the early safety net for one ropey performance and also psychologically the league table when up against Man Utd and maintaining a bit of an unbeaten run.

If football has taught me anything over the years is the month of May there is always very strange results providing many twists and turns. With some teams going on very unexpected runs late on. Leeds held their own up here and it will be a do or die game for them. Hopefully plays out like Everton away but we struggle up against smaller mobile forwards. Bamford not so much. Brighton seem like a team that are comfortable playing home and away and are in great form. Leicester seem to have a team full of players everyone on here says we should be buying but Vardy aside probably the team I’m most confident against as a bit nice in their style. I don’t and never expect anything from Stamford Bridge regardless what form we are in or themselves. They might have Poch in place by then and receive a new manager bounce also.

Important we don’t lose. A point would be actually massive. Three would be dream land.

Going to be a tough game. Tougher than last season. We will have to pass the ball a lot better and quicker than we did at the start of yesterday across the pitch. Hopefully Holding starts for them as could see a streetwise Wilson getting some change out of him. Probably going to have to rely on some Isak magic at some stage as bit concerned our midfield engine room is running with a a few valves not working. Glad we’ve a full week to rest for this one. Hopefully Willock is full of energy along with Joelinton as Bruno clearly struggling physically and Longstaff might struggle to return in time for this.

He played well but if you absolutely boss the midfield you usually win the game not lose it 3-1 and would’ve been more if we’d took our earlier chances. It also helped that Bruno is clearly playing injured. The lad can be pleased with his effort and performance for parts of the game but it was hardly the second coming of Bryan Robson. That’s all I was suggesting ?

Just think they’ve got their attacking mojo back when I watch them. They will concede like they did today but they always look like scoring too with ease. Couple of crucial Salah missed penalties would’ve had it even closer for the run in. Sort out that midfield in the summer and they will be a handful for anyone again.
