How did you come to that conclusion? Genuinely interested.
-
More like Captain Oblivious…
-
For someone who Tweets so much and stirs up the fan base you’d think he’d of known this before now…
-
Would also help if we got some home cup draws. People will laugh but an extra 8 home games instead of away could’ve made a bit of difference this window.
-
Absolute master class from EH. We are so lucky to have him. Wouldn’t swap him for anyone else in the league. Especially so in our current PSR quagmire…
-
I agree we didn’t look so clever away from home but the bigger ultimately was one of a team extremely unlucky to miss out on Europe again scoring a club record amount of goals getting deep in both domestic cup competitions despite ridiculous cup draws. Not saying we couldv’e done with a few signings but it’s a bit of a pet annoyance of mine seeing people moan about last season. If nothing happens today of note let’s get a couple of players back from injuries and suspensions and re-evaluate the market in January when we start to play the majority of our fixtures. With a bit of luck we might actually realise how many players we did lose last season.
-
Which was a great year was it not?
-
Top 6-7 maybe. They won’t expect top 4 neither should anyone else. Bonus if they get 4-5.
-
I totally get this opinion. However… Would you rather back EH & the current squad during a season without European distractions and get the RCB & RW we WANT next summer without selling Bruno/Isak/Gordon and hope we get top 4-6. Or… Would you want that RCB & RW this summer and have a greater chance of making top 4 and winning a cup you’d think BUT regardless if you do achieve it or you don’t you MUST lose two of Bruno/Isak/Gordon to pay for them albeit 12 months down the line so possibly being even worse off? That is the possible dilemma this window seems to be posing that not enough on here are understanding. Transformative can be achieved in so many ways. Don’t equate it only to spending big this window like most of you are.

We have been made aware that there is the following fence/parking area being constructed in front of the East Stand by the owner of the land. As this is one of the most congested areas on matchdays, this structure has raised fears that fan safety could be put at risk by this and if you are concerned please contact: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected]

It’s true. No EPL team wants to help us at all. We are clearly still seen as the fox in the hen house. It could be argued only Forest have been willing to do business with us. Chelsea also maybe. Guessing for their own desperate reasons. Every other club has been abroad or relegated.
-
You’ve highlighted the problem that is PSR and not the making of NUFC’s finances or ambition. We’ve have been playing catchup for 3 years and its cost the club a lot of money. We’ve maxed out every season our PSR card. Probably over maxed it judging by last January and July scramble. Anyway. No more PSR talk. As Woody Allen said “too much reality is not what the people want…”

Said it a while ago i feel we are building our squad akin to the way Liverpool did. Pretty sure they had a window where they wanted VVD all window and it never happened and they waited until the next window rather than squander their money elsewhere. Only difference ability aside is MG and his agent seem like they have a totally different character compared to VVD’s.

What a load of rubbish. Our revenue has increased loads under the new owners. I suspect also we are holding certain deals back until the Man City case results is in. Otherwise you’d of committed to lower sponsorship money. Also you’ve to remember not everyone wants to be associated with Saudi.
-
Ah… what a half decent Euros can do for a centre half’s price tag these days…
-
We will spend if we can. However the new rules are double edged. If you waste the money it will mean sales required next season. Absolutely nothing to do with the clubs ambition. We’ve allegedly being trying to break the clubs transfer record for the last three weeks. Which would Max our allotted spending this window (£110m approx).
-
The club does not lack ambition. It lacks the ability to spend the money it has at its disposal due to rules that have recently been introduced. Big difference.
-
For all the negative ninnies. We might end up breaking our transfer record this window. Here’s to the journey…
-
Was it not reported Mitchell had already started working for us on the quiet before he was announced officially? Olise’s price depended on which club was bidding. Think Bayern got him for £45m plus bits. Other various teams was more. Some teams the release clause didn’t even apply to. Was a very complicated transfer hence the delay confirming it.

If thats the case which makes sense then it’s a none news story. However thats not what the article states. I agree it seems strange but article does suggest we are in for a windfall. It’s Ryder mind

I read it as 30% of the profit sell on figure. So £50m minus £6m = £44m… 30% = £13.2m surely…
-
30% from Toney sale apparently. Could come in handy! https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/40m-move-chelsea-provides-newcastle-29817546?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
