The photos showed full rows. No way random people who couldn’t make it just happened to also sat together… Let’s have a honest conversation about this. Some people made money from fans by owning a ridiculous amount of STs all with good points gained over the years set up as travel groups and connected to coach hire trips where they will find you a ticket if you go via that coach. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. It’s nothing to do with last minute illness. I get the train strikes ref I think the Spurs game but you can still return them to the club for refund uless the strike was announced within 48hrs of KO. A new trait new is people not taking up their seats and cramming in with mates as standing allows usually a 2 for 1 ratio. Certainly 3 for 2. If I recall the Brighton was the first game under the new rules (?) and it probably highlighted and caught out those who rely on others for tickets. Im on both sides of the fence. Originally I used to always enjoy helping people out for the few games I didn’t attend always at face value. So yes I didn’t see the harm in one way as going to genuine fan. On the other side though there had to be a change to give others a chance. You can’t just have the same 3K fans controlling the whole system. Hopefully a more balanced outcome between the two where you are allowed to pass 2-4 max per season to others as long as they have a full membership. Also a more balanced punishment as losing all your loyalty points is extreme. Maybe a seasons worth or at most 50%.

Think the empty seats going empty was overblown. Mainly by a group of people who actually benefit from the old system. Amazing what stories you can tell with a well timed photo. Why ultimately would ID checks create empty seats?

Would imagine he’ll play against Wimbledon.

Hope up to his usual tricks. Honestly if I ever bothered to go to a talk in that he was involved in I think I’d lamp him one…

Even if you took reports at face value then you’d have to note we offered £15m for Elanga in the Anderson deal only to be stuck with a £12.8/£20m GK. Cant see our value of him a month later going to £50m plus Almiron. The time to overpay was to help PSR not the end of the window.

Better view for the majority? Better acoustics for all? Allow more of those currently locked out in? Gotta move with the times. SJP in 1983 (first visit) has nothing remaining including the pitch when they dug it up for under soil heating as it is today. Maybe even a bigger storage cupboard for WorFlags

We never said how much we bid. Pretty sure we’ve denied the figures quoted with both deals. Especially Elanga. Don’t believe everything you are fed to believe. Especially last few days of the window. A lot of nonsense usually reported.
-
Not to all the people on here who said we made a mistake by not pivoting early enough in the window to a RW. As if negotiations are like that in a transfer window
-
Not sure we will.Think it’s kept confidential and only sign of who won will be revealed when the next PL rule book is revealed. I could be wrong mind.

I get all that TBF as i experienced all that too. Just you missed out the bits when he funnelled NUFC money into propping up his failing Cameron Hall Devs whilst taking very generous salaries also from the club. Then selling his share of the club behind Freddie Shepherds back to Mike Ashley knowing he couldn’t stop it as was on a hospital bed at deaths door. That and him being a bit of a racist and embarrassing himself on TalkSport although TBF probably more generational ignorance. Not a fan personally but will give him some thanks. He was lucky he landed KK as ultimately it was KK who drove and built the club as much as anyone.

Because we tried to get him instead of paying £12.8/£20m for their reserve GK. See which one we ended up with

Thanks for posting article. Though learnt nothing new from it. Felt like i was the secret source actually. The Tosin deal not happening and having to buy/sell Anderson Minteh and the GK at a big fee to avoid points deduction ultimately had a big knock on effect for a budget that was never big enough for both a quality RCB and RW. The only blame I’d lay at anyone’s feet is they probably thought PSR had very little teeth until late on last season teams started getting points deducted. Though to be fair to them most fans were saying it had no sporting teeth and the sanctions would be financial. Keep Minteh and secure Tosin and how different the whole window would’ve been viewed with most of our budget still available to shop around. Time to get behind the manager and the players and see where we are in January.

Has always been their plan. Some just realising this now?

You hear this a lot but how do you exactly plan for a window? I mean… it’s fairly well known thats done as of end of January and a bulk of it even earlier. List players you want, a few options for each position, get an idea of wage demands, approximate transfer fee and most importantly if they want to join us. However… once you get to the window and none of the clubs want to sell you who you want or if they do not at the prices you were originally quoted then not much else you can do other than throw money (we can’t afford to) at players you didn’t originally need/want or hang on until next window. Mitchell has had long enough to be part of the strategy. However it’s been a tough window (so far…). These things happen.

Elanga wasn’t available in July. So not sure what difference an early pivot would have made. If we got wind he was available at a price we were happy with we might of decided to pivot. No one knows ultimately so no point getting upset about stuff that we don’t know with any great certainty.
-
None of our bigger signings have been elite players. EH has turned them into a bracket getting close to that. Elanga interest is absolutely no different to Gordon, Barnes, Botman, Bruno, Isak.
-
See my last post. In short. the money was prioritised on a RCB. Now we’ve money available for a RW instead as the RCB we want isn’t affordable this window.

We bid for Elanga this morning as Forest were bringing in a player so we probably hoped that they’d be receptive to a sale to balance their books. We also knew that the minimum price after we tried to get him as part of the Anderson deal was a ball park figure sufficiently high enough to know we couldn’t reach along with getting Guehi. The Guehi pursuit started at £50m +£5m and reached £65m+£5m and never moved as wasn’t rejected until late last night as the price increased again to £75m. We withdrew our interest this morning hence the transfer meeting delaying the press conference. Focused turned to RW and a bid was put in for Elanga knowing we had funds to pursue a deal without insulting the club we are trying to buy off. Don’t see a problem with any of it so far. Our player selection under EH has been spot on so far.
