So you forget the game when his touch was heavy and he was robbed and the player was in on goal only to hesitate and him block the shot. Or the ball dropping which he let bounce and leading to another great chance. Then the one he went for and changed mind and got caught out leading to another chance. Recall him having a very good first game which was enough to set the narrative and the media brainwash. Actually thought Konsa played better when Guehi got suspended for the third game which although a minor thing shows he was caught out twice for cards also. Don’t want to sound overly harsh. If he signs I hope he proves me wrong like I said Gordon would prove the doubters wrong. It’s more about the fee and wage demands if it doesn’t work out. For £60-70m its our biggest gamble for sure.

I disagree. Thought Stones was our best defender in the tournament. I agree with your other points. Not a big fan and like you say not great in the air. Feels like a leak also. Ornstein normally announces the deal much further down the line. Even the wording hints of a sales pitch.

Yes early days in negotiations and ultimately not my money but saying he’s too good for the Palace defensive unit not really a big enough endorsement for me. Don’t want to be negative but was never happy when linked with him in the past. He was a mess when we beat them 4-0 and like I say shaky in Euros and was lucky to escape not giving 3 goals away. Pros are age, no language barrier and he knows the league. Cons he’s not as good as Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool CHs which for £60-70m you’d be hoping he was close. Main thing is EH & PM want him.

I’ll be honest I’ve never been impressed with against us or in the Euros. Yes at the right amount maybe (£35-45m) but not seeing £60-70m player albeit I’ve not seen loads of him.

Happy we went down this route and not the DCL or Solanke option. Looks like a young Solanke in style. Also reminds me a bit of Collymore with his head down running and shooting of both feet. Was hoping to see more of his aerial ability but not much in the clips. I’d be very surprised if he’s loaned out this season as I think he’ll get minutes. Probably as soon as the opening fixture judging by Wilson’s availability.

One ticket per matching membership category. Maximum linked group of six in total I believe.
-
If I wasn’t to know any better he had similar style and movement to Solanke to an extent.

Yep. 4 more years of this 🤦🏼♂️

Friday 12:30 for the next phase. Good that they are mixing up the times.

In some positive news straight through on the phone line and were refunded in under a minute no quibbles.

Anyone see him against Real Madrid? How did he look?
-
Decent turn out it seems…
-
Not really. There’s managers in the PL that show little difference regardless of results. EH shows little to none for example which I love. Ange is very visibly different. Especially as the season went on.
-
One of my targets for NUFC this season is for us to do much better away against Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea but most importantly Liverpool. Someone send this to EH now… Seems quite a detailed breakdown.
-
Yeah this pic looks better so probably misleading first image. Guessing everyone wanting to sit forwards.
-
Always feel there is a difference between when he wins and loses. Seems to avoid eye contact altogether after a defeat and sound very flat.
-
Looks empty unless photo deceiving…

Cant see either happening. Ferran returned back to Spain as was homesick in Manchester. Raphina on silly wages already.

Technically only 4yrs old as well 🤣

The club judging by the press briefings are aligned with the general consensus of the fans (RW, RCB purples followed by young CF). Anything else will be opportunistic signings. The dilemma will be do you wait for some player sales and lump that money to go and try and tempt your first choice or do you pay less but still similar amount for your second choice. If another club snares either of your choices it can force the clubs hand. Buying similar or lesser players to what we have is easy. Improving on what we’ve got by a big margin is much more difficult and usually far more expensive. I think it’s safe to say Almiron, Trippier, Wilson and judging by silence on contract Longstaff are available at the right price to add to the pot. Wilson’s sale would make it a three purple window. Almiron sale will confirm RW purchase this window. Trippier sale will confirm the RCB purchase this window who’ll presumably also be able to cover RB. Longstaff sale is covered by Hall and youth product pathway if called upon with Kelly covering Hall. Thats the way I see it rounding up the last couple of months info.

Said a while ago I had a feeling Ange love in would end before 2nd season is finished. Will be interesting to see where Spurs are in 12 months and if I’m proven incorrect.
-
Because you could tell he was physically much stronger in those final few games when watching him up close.

Farewell sweet prince…
