  1. His passing is like 78% according to WhoScored where as Schar is about 66%. Lascelles has Trippier to his right where a lot of our build up goes down, a lot of Lascelles' passes will be to Trippier moving into space up the wing. Schar is probably hitting a lot of balls long which are being headed clear by a defender. Brighton are one of the best teams in the league at keeping the ball so all of their players will be favourably skewed I would imagine.
  2. it's mad like. He has some Manson like cult following that I was never aware of. Reiterating what has been said but Paul Dummett is historically a solid and reliable left back who can also play in a back 3. Matt Ritchie is a winger. Both will very likely see game time through necessity this season (Dummett at LCB and Ritchie at LW), Jamal Lewis would likely not play a single minute.
  3. I assume Lascelles has been instructed to keep it simple and give it to Trippier. Atleast once in the past few games he made the most passes out of anyone in the side. Schar could obviously do that.
  4. The reason he's "not had a sniff" though is partly down to him being too slow to react or having a poor touch in several situations. I think he deffinitely played his part against Leeds, statistically he won an absurd amount of balls in the air so he has to have, but so far in and around the box he's looked poor.
  5. Not sure he deserves to be banned from Twitter like. Like we don't need to destroy his entire career over it or out Agree with the rest though.
  6. When both are fit it could possibly be Wood up top with Wilson and ASM either side of him. Or Willock up there. We're still in a situation where anything we do in a 4 at the back formation either looks imballanced or bad.
  7. They've got another 3 on the bench. They could theoretically field a starting XI of Kims and Lees. They should imo
  8. If it's clear that they did it then I agree like. Raping a woman is an absolutely horrific act, it's not really something you can just look over Don't know much about this case but the Ched Evans one was an example where it was nowhere near clear enough to destroy the blokes life over.
  9. Aye his tweet being aimed at trying to rile a specific group of people up got it's obvious and intended reaction. There are many things he could have done which would have got him unfairly targeted, but I don't think what he did was one of them. FWIW you absolutely SHOULD be allowed to "joke about rape" etc, it's just harder to pull off than joking about your ma's Sunday dinners, so unfunny cunts with their job in their twitter profile should probably stay away from it. I joke about horrific shit all the time but I've never done it in a place where my boss is obviously going to publicly see or hear about it Certainly if the subject at hand involved a rape victim who has just recently been thrown into the public eye. It's insane behaviour.
  10. Bruno and Big Joe will tear the league up and both be in Qatar.
  11. If he'd posted that 10 year ago and it had been dragged up I'd agree like, but he posted it a few days ago. You cannot drag your employers name through the mud in such an obviously thick way and not expect the sack like. I'd feel differently if he'd been secretly recorded down the pub or something.
  12. Cannot see Howe wanting to deal with Costs like Marlos might be worth a punt, surely he's better than Ritchie.
  13. Don't get me wrong, I think we've strengthened our backline (and the pivot) brilliantly, and for good money. But not getting another player to play across the front line was obviously a complete failure like. Even with Lingard and Ekitike we're still light there so there was a lot of room to bring someone in before deadline day.

Fair play to Brighton's PR/social media team like, it's small things but they're deffinitely doing a lot to endear me to their club. The constant bitterness in football is fucking exhausting.
  15. Looking at his highlights he can ping the ball about on his left better than anyone else in our squad like, including Shelvey.
  16. I think we've both benefited from the deal like. Wood has the reaction times of an octogenarian, but his 'headers won' against leeds was insane so he's given us an option that Howe obviously wants. Burnley replacing him with just about anyone benifits them because he was, by all accounts, playing absolutely shite for them. Hopefully it's all irrelevant and we finish comfortably above a few teams.
  17. How good the deal is depends on the weighting of those performance bonuses to reach £40m. If they can get him back to near his best though he'll be worth every penny. I would have loved to have taken a risk on him but it's pretty obvious Howe puts a lot of emphasis on the dressing room to the point he wasn't wanting relegation causes, and insisted on sensible wages etc. It was probably never going to realistically happen on a permanent deal.
  18. Just reading those quotes again, the bloke was an absolute lunatic like https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/28/alan-pardew-newcastle-education-southampton&ved=2ahUKEwiH8tug9t31AhUvREEAHZjKCHYQFnoECAkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0zOcVHWZqA22aPb4Dy-U7U It's all probably true, but calling all of your youth players shit and thick probably isn't the best man management exercise.
  19. Why would they loan him out for £5.5m like? He's their top scorer. If we had that chance and never took it it's completely insant, but it sounds fantastical.
  20. *not aimed at anyone in particular If he has kids for example then not wanting to uproot them (or be away from them) for 6 month is understandable. Plus, like Ekitike, being told to make a decision on deadline day is pretty short notice. Given a few days he might have had time to sort his head out. from a footballing POV it's obviously diabolical like.

If we get relegated it puts us a year behind taking over them though. Thankfully Brighton and Villa aren't total cunts. I can understand it to a degree but it's clearly shit for the player.
  22. There's something eerie about the lad like. He looks like The Nun or something.
  23. I think Manquillo being insane for like 10 minutes against Leeds left me a bit more miffed about this than I should tbh Sounds spot on.
