They aren't saying the equivalent of "I would take the Venky's over liquidation" they're saying "The Blackburn fans are just deluded, the Venky's would be perfect for us, just what we need!" Hence people are taking the piss out of them.
-
So if the Venkys were linked you think this forum would be full of people pulling their end off and calling Blackburn fans deluded? Vince McMahon was a mad pipe dream that you could have imagined being some sort of crazy WWE inspired super club - obviously it was no sense but there's at least something for your inner child to play with. How is that remotely the same as a failed former football club owner with a history of filtering money out of the club and put nothing in?

I don't know anyone who would have just swapped Ashley for any old chancer like. We'd have swapped him for anyone with a hint of ambition, regardless of wealth.
-
Derby don't have the pull we had, as well as the obvious gulf in quality between our squad back then and the rest of the Championship. There's 6-7 billionaire owners down there atm, and the 3 going down have billionaire owners too. His wealth isn't enough to shoot them up the league in isolation.

Even the referee is bullying this PSG midfielder now

Villa could have had 4 more goals here, completely exposed PSG

If Villa get top 5 then they'll have had to have went on an insane run with an FA Cup semi in there too, their next 4 games are against teams still fighting for Europe. Feel like we just need Chelsea to stay shite and it's in the bag. -

Does it though? I don't think people watch MotD because they want to see Danny Murphy lace into Victor Linderlof. I would be amazed if any real market research went into MotD. -

Bit annoying we're a day less for both games like, at least 2 points and we're looking good though. -

Someone mentioned 'momentum' a little while back as being pointless, but it's sort of the same thing. They're simplified data points that broadcasters and score apps can use to give the viewer/user a vaguely accurate reflection of a game. If Man City get beat off Forrest 0-1, and they have an xG of 0.4, 70% possession with 15 shots at goal, I can assume they were forced to pass across the box all game taking pot shots. If the xG was 2.4, I could assume Forrest were probably lucky. You see the highlights on MotD, and can even check the shot and heat maps if you're feeling like a true James Lawrence Alcott, but it's obviously nowhere near what companies like StatsBomb sell. -

Understat's xPTS is accurate to 1 win for 12 teams in the league, 16 are within 2 wins. The major outlier is Forrest (+14pts) which is what anyone who watches footballer would guess if you asked the question. 'Vaguely accurate' is more than fair, professional gamblers are obviously not using it but it's fine enough for fans. -

Do you think they put xG on MotD for scouts like? xG is a vaguely accurate marker that people can use alongside possession, SoT, shot map's etc to get a general gist of how a game went. -
The back heel from Zirkzee was ridiculous like. Silky smooth. Some Spanish/Italian team should grab him while his price is rock bottom.

What would I even do of he just walked into my living room and demanded a go of the Mrs? What could I do?
