He was also part of a Swansea side that dominated possession in most of their games. A good few years ago admittedly, but just because it’s not been what he has been asked to do here, doesn’t mean he isn’t capable. For what it’s worth I expect we'll see a more refined version of last seasons tactics, hopefully with Wilson and any new attacking additions making us more clinical. Therefore meaning we take better advantage of our short periods of good play.

Because they don't sponsor the womens team?

That was literally part of the deal that Ashley negotiated last year, we have no idea what the new owners long term ideas are around this. They are recruiting staff into every other part of the club,. What makes you think that they wish to keep the current arrangement, beyond the fact they don’t wish to pay to exit the existing contract? Which no doubt would be prohibitive given it was negotiated by the business genius that was our former owner (Not to mention the fact it is increasingly looking likely he has a stake in Castore himself).

Whilst I understand this sentiment, we are still a few years away from our seasons being defined by how well we do against Liverpool and Man City. Our chronic lack of goals, is much more of a pressing issue against the other 17 teams in the league, than buying someone to help make us more solid against the 2 teams that will finish miles ahead of everyone else

Massively missed his organisational skill and leadership after he fell out with Keegan too, I often wonder what might’ve happened in 95/96 if he was still around tbh
-
I'd also stick Nadine Shah in the list of good Newcastle artists, who maybe should have a bigger audience than they currently do too.

Definitely agree with you on the Wildhearts, but to be fair I still think Ginger is one of the most underappreciated songwriters this country's produced. The breadth of his output is staggering

Why? You eager to take the plunge?

Is he better than Lascelles for backup? Just a thought, I genuinely don't know enough about him tbh ??♂️

Saw this article today asking questions as to how exactly both Newcastle and Rangers shirts have ended up being sold in Ashley's tat emporium, before they’ve been officially released. I do wonder if it will come out that Ashley is actually involved in Castore at some point. https://www.rangersnews.uk/columnist/mike-ashley-newcastle-stunt-raises-more-questions-over-rangers-castore-deal/

Well I guess we know who's a blue wall voting Tory idiot on this forum then. Interesting stats there, where did you get them? UKIP's benefits of Brexit page?

It’s not just that, it’s the fact the person who was keeping out of the team was a truly awful footballer. If it had been a consistent 6/7 out of 10 player like Routledge instead of Obertan, I wouldn’t have agreed with it but could understand the rationale. But Obertan offered absolutely nothing
-
Aye but there’s the flip side of this, watch even 90's football and the pitches were cut up like Sunday league grounds, defenders could get away with outright assault and there were still players as skilled and cultured as today
-
Poor turn of phrase, I meant how good they were in the same Liverpool side. Wasn’t suggesting they were a front pairing. ?
-
I think people forget how good Toshack and Hughes were together too tbh. But that’s recency bias for you

He'd shred Stoke's defence to bits ?

Worrying thin neck though, can it withstand the robustness of the EPL?

We absolutely ruined Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa too, I reckon he could’ve been a real success in the PL under a half competent manager. Sadly we had Pards

not sure, but aerospace alloy metallic fires certainly can ?

Can't imagine the CIA or NSA employ a large number of Saudi Nationals myself, but maybe I have the wrong kind of tinfoil hat ??♂️

Or as the ex-RAF techie said they are more likely conducting Air Combat Manoeuvres over the North Sea, the non crypto transponders get switched off so they can't cheat in locating each other. Probably a Joint Warrior type exercise going on
-
Looking at the callsigns I suspect it's more likely there's some sort of ACM exercise going on, If it were pesky Russians there'd be P8's swarming the area rather than Typhoons

This beauty came up on my feed for some reason, it’s truly food for the soul ?
