As somebody has already pointed out earlier in this very thread, they wouldn’t be allowed to change the home shirt's colours or the name following rules put in place after the debacles at Cardiff/Hull, so this whole discussion is basically shouting into the wind.

I honestly can’t remember, just remember giving one of the other lads pelters who was a Scab fan, when I was doing my RAF basic training at the time -

did we not relegate Forrest in '97 after battering them on the final day too? -
It’s the main thing mentioned by the jouro's (sorry actually quoted the wrong post ?) alongside Khassoghi, which is why yesterday I mentioned what had happened to a journalist at the hands of our other ally in the region in the last week. The western media depiction of everything that goes on in that part of the world, paints an over simplification of everything. No mention of other major State actors using the Houthi rebels to conduct a proxy war etc etc. I guess I’m saying I find a lot of the West's moralising to be in particularly bad taste given our continued conduct on the International stage.

A lot of the French media seem to think Ekitike is nailed on to Dortmund.

As someone who recently left the RAF after just over 22 years, I also find it odd how quick people living in this country love to criticise what’s going on in Yemen. Given that we have effectively been lobbing high explosive at Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Libya uninterrupted for the past 30 years. People who love quoting Amnesty are going to lose their shit, when they get around to reading their assessments of what we and our allies got up to over there.

given what’s happened in another part of the Middle-East this week, in a country who's teams are allowed to play in UEFA competitions, and there’s been no comment from the new Middle-Eastern political experts Holt and Delaney. Might suggest that they’re not as clued up on all aspects of Middle Eastern geo-politics as they claim. https://edition.cnn.com/2022/05/11/middleeast/al-jazeera-journalist-killed-intl-hnk/index.html

I thought Gallas and Carvalho made Terry look good. Again I’m saying he’s overrated, not a complete plodder. I just personally think a defender like Cannavaro made Terry look ordinary.
-
Seen him mentioned regards Ronaldinho, but I’m going to suggest John Terry is massively over-rated. He spent far too much time sliding on his backside, making last ditch tackles to be considered a great defender IMHO. Maybe just my opinion but great defenders snuff out danger before it gets to that, via clever jockeying and interceptions and rarely go to ground.

Damn beat me to it ?

Probably not under rated by fans of Newcastle, but watching back clips of Beardsley he is the prime example of a player who would be absolutely raved about by fans of every club, if he was foreign.

Terrible players who become Messi/Ronaldo incarnate when playing us

Always seem to remember Jason Roberts playing ridiculously well against us -
Could the same not be argued for Carlos and Cafu? They were basically pioneers for the way modern wing backs play

It’s also the perfect illustration of the fact that you lot have a very limited attention span and a complete inability to delay gratification. ??♂️

This 100%, Last US Sporting event I went to was the Daytona 500, was an excuse for Americans to day drink. Doesn’t translate across here, because we don’t need an excuse. As for food and merchandise being better, it bloody well should be, they generally charge amounts that would even make the New Wembley wince.

This is about as valid an opinion, as the American National champions declaring themselves World Champions every year. #Bollocks

All of them ??♂️ How many of them does anyone outside of North America genuinely give a shit about?

With any luck Brexit will not be a fucking issue this side of the border for too much longer

I still can’t get over 36 year old Milner, he couldn’t run that fast, strong and far when he was 20. What’s changed post Pep and Klopp? EPO?

Me too, was a canny trek down from RAF Kinloss

Mike Ashley sold the club because the Saudi's offered him above Market Value for it, if he’d been bothered by fan pressure it'd have been sold in 2008. Fans have no say at all. The removal of Hicks and Gillette at Liverpool is often attributed to fan power, but in reality it was Barclays who forced them to sell after they’d defaulted on a payment, nothing at all to do with fan protest.
-
Because that’s the only option like, is Lingard going to play for us for free? Or is he going to want a bumper contract due to it being his last pay day and him not having a fee? I also standby the fact that other than a singular loan spell he's not suggested he'd be a massive upgrade. I'm sure there are young players on the continent that we’re currently scouting, which will cost us less and improve the squad more.
-
What you basing that on? A 6 month loan spell at West Ham which is now a year ago? He was literally a meme for Man Utd prior to that loan spell. He went forever without providing a goal or assist for them. He is now 30 and someone that a club like ours should be avoiding, unless of course he is willing to significantly reduce his wage demands etc. Signing him in January made sense given our desperation and precarious situation, it makes absolutely no sense to continue to pursue it in the summer IMHO.

And if Dan Burn is out on the basis of age, what the hell has Fikayo Tomori gotta do to get a call up?
