I think we've done very good business this window. Not sure what people expected. We've gotten rid of fringe players on bloated wages and brought in a couple of talented homegrown youngsters to freshen things up. I'm sure we have several plans in place for the summer, depending on if we're in europe or not for next season.

Spoke well in the interview, and sensible to have a young similar type of player to Trippier who can learn from him and improve under our coaching team. Looking forward to seeing what he can do here

Norwegian here, born in '78. In the 90s (and before) there was a thing called "Tippekampen" on Norwegian TV. Basically, one game from the Premier League was broadcast each Saturday at 4 pm. All my friends and schoolmates were supporting various teams from England. Most were supporting either Liverpool or Man Utd. I wanted to pick a team as well, as I was getting more interested in football. I was watching "Tippekampen" with my old man, and I asked him which teams he liked. He really thought Newcastle was playing some great football. This was probably around 1995 or 96, so he was not wrong! So this is why i support Newcastle ever since, and never regretted it. Well, it was a lot of painful moments, but it will all be worth it. Things are amazing right now. Possibly the most optimistic I have been about us

I dont really have a favorite player atm, but voted Pope. It’s great having a keeper that is so dependable, and I think he deserves more credit for most clean sheets in the league

Huge goal saving tackle from him to stop Buendia at 0 - 0 today. He's played a big part in us being so good defensively this season. This back four of Trippier, Schär, Botman and Burn is so, so competent and balanced, both defending and going forward

Really impressive performance from him today. Hope he can keep getting better
