Modric seems to contribute more from a deeper position now though, controlling the game from the centre, spreading the ball about and pretty much dictating how Spurs play from what I've seen. He's their best player if you ask me.

With Carroll gone that leaves a role as support striker free for Ireland surely. I think he could make a very positive impact there, especially when HBA gets back, both clever players that I feel could link up well to create chances.

To the people who have said they find it difficult to support the club, or are considering not following them anymore; What would you do instead? Not follow football anymore? Follow football but not support anyone? Support someone else? All big no no's to me.
