He does look very off it at the moment

Im not saying you I’m saying it’s fair enough to say they’ve been shite today but in the context of the recent run and cup win I’d say write it off as one of those days. It’s frustrating but sometimes you get turned over. We’ll bounce back.
-
Take it not the chin and move on, they’ve been shite today but given what they’ve done they can be given some slack.
-
Exactly the bedwetters after this result ffs 😂

Just not at it today

Yeah a win basically almost has us in the champions league. A draw is absolutely fine too really as it keeps Villa away from us with that 5 point gap. Thing is after us Villa have City away, Fulham home then Bournemouth away sandwiched amongst cup semi final. They are far from straightforward games. I think what I’m saying is we can take a loss on the chin if it happens but it’d be great to come away with points if any sort today. -

In fairness the last few Villa fans I’ve met including one of my patients were very respectful of us and complimentary. The patient of mine pointed out he thought the Sob on the Tyne stuff was a load of bollocks and that what both clubs have in common is that we’re both fighting the ridiculous PSR/big 6 situation. Brummie would be able to give more of an opinion on what Villa fans think of us I guess though. -
Always makes me laugh when people suddenly become medical experts on players when they haven’t got a clue what’s actually going on - only the player and medical team will know exact details. He’s had his ACL surgery which by all accounts has gone very well. The second op was a knee scope to remove a loose body, it’s fairly easy to recover from as it’s not structural. If he’s fit to return for Ipswich then great 👍

It was absolutely typical, brainless from Shaw, nailed on to go out, careless penalty given away and then the game completely swung and Lyon were in the ropes with the man advantage counting. Absolutely typical that hammer head bangs in that last header. The Mainoo goal was pretty good to be fair. Hilarious all those cunts who walked out tho 😂

Part of me says fair play to them for coming back like that when they were on the verge of of going out. But fuck me to think this side might win a trophy and get CL with some of those knackers in that team. In fairness Amorim comes across quite well but I cannot stand Fernandes. Rio Ferdinand ducking droaning on last night on commentary too “this is the greatest night in football” 😂 oh fuck off

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
ExiledGeordie replied to Rich's topic in Football
I get that point but to not get CL from this point would be very disappointing. I also think CL quietens down all the bullshit Isak noise and allows us to sign better players in the summer. I wouldn’t completely throw my toys out of the pram if we got Europa league but CL allows the club to really kick on again this summer. It could be on the verge of being a really top side and CL helps facilitate that. -
Yeah it’s ironic, still scored last night but not in blistering form. Was getting the chances though so can see him hitting razor sharp form again in next few games.

Parrish also doesn’t hold the cards now really, they'll Have to sell with one year left.

Thing is for me is I don’t think we’ve had to work “that” hard in these last two games and we’ve been able to bring players off. I think we’re in pretty good physical shape for this. -
He wanted 70m, we were offering around 55+ which was the issue
-
I don’t even think we offered 70m mate, it was more like 55-60. With one year left it’s probably 30-40 now though Parrish clearly despises us so fuck knows 😂
-
Exactly, it makes me laugh when people suddenly say “he’s shit after we don’t sign him. My Palace mate says he’s been playing really well this season. He’d thrive under Howe. Who knows who we’ll sign at CB this summer but Guehi’s not shit.
-
😂😂 give over mate, awful post I wouldn’t actually be surprised if we went back in for him

They’ve got a really tough set of fixtures after us including City away midweek right after this. Pressure on them, we’re probably set up perfectly to counter attack them with that high line. Can Isak’s form improving back to razor sharpness again and getting a couple. A draw is fine, a win would be outrageous, a defeat still leaves us 2 points clear with a better gd. Edit: just been reading their forum, they really don’t like us 😂 -

I think j we can qualify for the CL with the home games to be honest. The Villa game is a tough one but the pressure is off us and all on them which plays into our hands. Amy result is on the table on sat but even if we lose we can get back on track v Ipswich. I’m actually not that worried about Brighton away, they were shocking against Leicester the other day. As someone has also mentioned the Arse might be in CL cotton wool mode by the time we play them.
