  1. Anderson gives us so much more depth now that he can start games.
  2. Very interested to see what team he picks for this. Maybe Livramento coming back in, Isak probably starts.
  3. He can improve his finishing, if he does that he could be awesome. You need some radge in the team and if they’re lightning quick than all the better like Bellamy was.
  4. Hes stupidly fast and direct. A nightmare to defend against.
  5. I think we’re starting to see now why Howe was so keen to get him
  6. The bloke is a complete and utter car crash. He paints this “I was hard done by at nufc” bollocks conveniently omitting hanging on for his 8m. The job that he simply couldn’t turn down when he arrived and yet went to Wigan and the Mackems before us ? Then when he finally did come left Wednesday with poor professionalism. And apparently the abuse was shocking and yet received worse abuse at Villa and the Mackems. What’s even more bizarre is the way he’s created a parallel nufc existence suggesting things like he stepped aside for the good of the bloke and was even recommending Howe to the new board. The man is an utter fraud and charlatan and Louise Taylor nailed him as a knacker with her article in 2011 ffs. Just fuck off.
  7. Youre probably right thinking about it again. Big chance to pick up a solid away win and get the league form started properly.
  8. This is where it gets interesting. Sunday game, midweek v City, weekend game v Burnley then PSG. Players will have to be rotated. I agree with a few, either left back or right back might come in but not both. Livramento seems the most likely to start but a lot might come down to niggles and fatigue. Wilson to start for me, Barnes and Elliott to come back in too. Definitely missing Willock in these rotations and a fully fit Joelinton for that matter.
  9. The lad clearly has bags of potential and he’s probably the answer to the left back situation but Howe is clearly waiting for the right time to bring in him and bed him in, he’s still a young lad. Plus we don’t don’t know his current levels of fitness, readiness to start etc.
  10. Agreed it’s not working that well with Tonali for the reasons you’ve highlighted. A combination of him settling further and lots of training will improve things though. In time a 6, a creative RW as left well as left back where Hall has probably been earmarked to come in will upgrade the first 11.
  11. Yeah it’s painfully obvious we need another option at left back. Targett is seemingly struggling to make his mark again which is a shame. I think we’ll see Hall gradually get more time and maybe even start a bit second half of the season.
  12. That’s a good summing up. There’s no harm in pointing out players aren’t in form and can do better but the overreaction from football fans thesedays is ridiculous. Someone is a god one minute, then they’re shite. Fwiw I thought Bruno looked a lot better on Saturday, he was recycling the ball quicker. In time I’m sure Bruno and Tonali will play well together but Longstaff definitely allows Bruno to do his thing better and Longstaff with Bruno and Tonali might work well. I wonder if they’ll look to bring in a more traditional 6 type player who can shield the defence, break things up and allow the likes of Bruno etc to crack on ahead of them.
  13. Just needed a win really. Was always going to be tricky
  14. Yeah that’s a good point that we haven’t seen it at all yet in games which is a bit odd. If he’s not considering it why sign another LW? Time will tell ofcourse
  15. ? I think Szob was always going to go to Pool re wages etc especially after we’d committed to Tonali. They still have a massive pull. Maddison fits Spurs system perfectly so I can see why we opted to Barnes instead but as I mentioned in the Barnes thread it’s an odd signing if you aren’t going to mix things up and play him with Gordon. Diaby is one you look at and think he’s have been ideal for that RW but they opted for Tonali in line with what you’ve said above. They must’ve had their reasons to skip Diaby but we’re crying out for someone like that on the RW. Also agree on the point about waiting for the right players. They’ll absolutely get a RW, right CB and probs even. 6 type player in time but you can’t do everything at once re FFP and the right player being available.
  16. Teams know exactly what Miggy is going to do too so it’s fairly predictable really. We need to mix things up a bit. I’m sure Howe has various ideas in mind but you’d think Barnes will surely come in next game after the international break. He’s a finisher and we’re missing chances.
  17. I don’t really understand bringing Barnes in after signing Gordon in Jan if we’re not going to try to play both of them either side of a striker (likely Gordon on the right?) This must’ve been considered when they looked at signing both of them otherwise you’re massively limiting your options with just Almiron and Murphy for that RW slot. Otherwise they might as well have just gone in for a RW in the first place.
  18. He’s certainly not moving as quickly as normal and looks undercooked and off the pace a bit. He’ll be fine but I would bring Longstaff in and let him sit allowing Bruno and Tonali to do their thing. The side is constantly evolving but it does make you think another defensive minded player will be brought in at some point.
  19. I can’t see where the download option is?
  20. And if you’re as off colour as we were today you’re going to get it properly handed to you.
  21. Yeah it’s not an excuse for todays display but last weekends result has clearly got to them. Liverpool absolutely have our number, the lads were desperate to hand them one and threw it away in desperate fashion. Two weeks of hard work for everyone before Brentford.
  22. Howe has stated Hall isn’t fully fit yet, Liv isn’t a left back, Targett is an out and out left back. I don’t see the issue, it’s the obvious choice for today.
  23. He’s an excellent option to come in at right back with all the games we have and the likely starter in years to come. Him and Hall could give us two really excellent attacking fullbacks on either flanks.
  24. Yeah I’d be amazed if he stays fit through to Jan with all these games
