  1. With any luck Saints will put us away, they're playing well and confident. That'll then create massive pressure going into the Hull match.
  2. He's on heading back onto the ropes again.......you cant polish a turd
  3. He'll look to move on a free in the summer or hope everything goes tits up and Pardew gets binned.

    Loïc Remy

Whatever people think about him it'd still be a decent signing for Chelsea as he's guaranteed to score goals.
  5. A poor result on sat and things could get "interesting" at St James Caller Albert summed it up on bbc Newcastle phone in that we don't look like coming close to scoring at the moment.
  6. Logic doesn't apply to the decision making at the club and they'll do the absolute bare minimum
  7. Yeah you're right, I'm keen to see what it is too. In the past this is the type of game I'd have gone to, not a chance now
  8. Reading at home was my turning point. The week before we played out an awful 0-0 draw with Norwich, which I defended and said if we get pts at home to Reading a 4 pt haul would be decent. Of course i never thought Pardew could be that stupid with his subs against Reading and deciding to hold a lead from the 55 minute mark. The man is a dick. I remember going to that match with a stinking cold too, I couldn't believe what I saw that day, literally. Went in 1-0 at halftime after Cabaye's free kick and was chatting to the bloke next to me where we both said "surely he can't bottle this one". He did, panicked completely, put Ameobi on right wing, we punted long balls up field, McDermott saw Pardew and the team had lost our arses/bottle/everything, put Le Fondre on who subsequently out the game away. My god
  9. His general cluelessness and awful tactics have been papered over by two things imo. Firstly the likes of Ba and Remy have bailed him out in games where we've been poor but nicked a goal thus meaning people purely look at the result and eventual league position. Secondly I think there's the financial element whereby a lot of fans have been taken in by the whole "financial cautiouesness" angle. That the need to stay in the league is the only thing that matters and the club has played on this. Combine this with the constant drumming down of ambition the club has worked on and you have fans who are seemingly happy to put up with dross football and finishing mid table. When actually what fans actually want is quite simply......a decent manager getting the team to play decent football with adequate "realistic" investment with a view to finishing as high up the table as possible or going for a cup or two. Beggars belief that he gets such an easy ride from the press though. I was one of the later ones on here who turned having initially been surprised by what I read on here. Performances like the Reading home loss two seasons ago started to turn me and by the beginning of last season I'd had enough. I now just find it bemusingly comical listening to the stuff he comes out with now.
  10. I agree, I accepted defeat a while ago. It's more a strange degree of amusement at how ridiculous it's got as opposed to a raging inferno of hate. Occasionally the old blood pressure goes up but generally I'm more relaxed about things. He just continues to make himself look like a cunt and eventually he'll get found out, eventually.......
  11. Pardew giving it the big'un. He doesn't even have Remy to bail him out this season ffs
  12. I'd love to see Palace turn us over thinking about it
  13. You'll always have us with Pardew in charge. Poyet absolutely has his number
  14. He might be hampered by Pardews lack of tactics and our general poor play but I'm just starting to see this player as piss and wind. Gets a full head of steam up but doesn't really do anything with it, poor touch and doesn't stamp his authority on the game. For a bloke his size he doesn't get involved enough for me either and boss people about. Maybe he's just been Pardewed too but I'm not that impressed.
  15. To be honest I'm not even sure I can be bothered to go out of my way to watch the matches with these kind of displays. It's just a continuation from last season, dull as.
  16. A loss v Palace could really see him properly in the shit, he has to win this one.
  17. Probably already wondering how the fuck he ended up in such a shit side Looks good enough to the point that he'll be gone for profit after 2 seasons.
  18. Yeah I find it all extremely bemusing that the press have been banging the "big spenders Newcastle" drum, "Ashley has answered his critics", "dark horses Newcastle", "lots of exciting new attacking options"
  19. Sure the press might have made a bit too much of him but I think he's been decent so far. He's the least of our worries ffs
  20. Problem is the lad might have something but immediately it's all down to him, loads of pressure and he's extremely isolated up front. We don't have any other options so the lad is really going to start feeling it soon, a ridiculous scenario as per usual at the club.
