Yeah seems so. Wilson is aiming for end of the month/early Feb but god knows whether he can get/stay fit. The irony is if he can stay fit he’ll probably help secure champions league. The flip side is it’ll only take a few injuries and we’re bang in trouble.

No idea if it’ll actually happen but I don’t really have an issue with DCL coming in as a number 2 striker if it’s not costing fortunes. He’d probably do well under Howe, would benefit from an change and his fitness/injury record seems to have improved. Wilson will surely be away and I’d rather more money spent on RW. Pretty laid back either way on this one though.

I don’t know the clubs finances but it seems odd if having spent barely anything in the summer and looking like we’re offloading at least one player this window in Miggy if we’re unable to make any signings for financial reasons.

Totally agree but I think getting a key target who will cost proper money is probably too difficult at the moment due to PSR and ending up in a June selling scenario. Hopefully they can find a way with a sale or two plus loan/obligation to buy to bring in some depth though because I agree a few injuries and we’re in trouble.

Agree with most of that but I think outgoings would actually help fund a bit of a rebuild too. I don’t think it’s that far fetched that we spend 45-50 on a RW if we think they’re the real deal. I’m not saying we’ll sign Mbuemo but the one thing with a player like him is you get someone who can play as striker too. Definitely think the hybrid players are really important.

Such a fine balance for the club. They’ll be very aware that a shrewd signing at RW if someone comes available could help fire us into the champions league but there’s no way they’ll want a repeat of the mayhem from last June and risking points deduction. Only they know the financial situation though.

Tonali, Joelinton and Bruno should be able to win the midfield battle. They’re very dangerous in the break though

Can’t see either Semenyo or Mbuemo coming in Jan, more like a summer signing. Either would massively upgrade RW.
