  1. Livramento too, RB or LB, nee bother, awesome player. Does Burn get back in at left back I wonder? Seems unlikely now.
  2. Vital in this run up to Jan with Wilson out. I guess that goes without saying though but he could really be the difference v Man U, Chelsea in cup etc, Spurs away
  3. ? yeah he doesn’t look out of place currently does he. Give it 2-3 years though blimey.
  4. Wow it’s almost as if Howe and the team had the foresight that Gordon could turn into the player he is now with the right training and coaching ? The scary thing is he’s only going to get better. Fantastic addition.
  5. I have some concerns about Pope too but he’s the least of our concerns right now.
  6. If we can somehow manage this next run, maybe get Barnes back, hopefully Botman but that sounds a bit iffy then get to Jan…..not only will we possibly bring a couple players in but some of the long term injuries will hopefully have cleared up too.
  7. The bedwetting/social media morons are no doubt losing their shit currently at the first sign of a rough match. Is Eddie the man? Need an entirely new medical staff? Blah blah blah ? Success was always going to bring out the unrealistic divvies who would crumble at the first rough patch. We were always going to struggle (struggle has included beating PSG 4-1, beating City at home, Man U away in the cup and recently beating the Arse at home) at some point and this season managing the games and their intensity. Injuries we always a greater risk this season but we’ve just been very unlucky too. To even discuss whether Howe is under press (not necessarily on this forum) is absolutely absurd.
  8. I think he gets replaced as the second striker next summer. He will still get a fair few minutes coming on as a sub but there’s no room for sentimentality in football. Yes he’ll still be a valued part of the squad and hardly cast aside but for where we’re going he just can’t play enough and is too injury prone to be relied on as key 2md striker particularly as Isak also seems injury prone.
  9. Rice is a monster of a player but Phillips wasn’t far off him not long ago as you say. I think he’s lost his way a little recently, the transfer to City always seemed like an odd one. I mean I guess a fat contract and being involved in a winning side is something but he was never going to play regularly. Stick him in our side, fit and hungry and allow Bruno to still dictate play with someone else in midfield and it gives us real options. Equally if they aren’t interested in him then fine but it seems like a sensible signing if they can get him.
  10. I agree I think a fully fit Phillips would be a great addition and having a designated 6 in the squad would be a bonus. I think an elite right winger and new striker are key moving forwards and they need to work out what they do in midfield between now and next season with Tonali’s absence. They also need to work out a plan B when Beuno is out. I imagine Tonali was probably the plan B so in the short term a Phillips loan(? With option to buy) wouod help sure things up even if he’s a completely different type of player to what we have already. Over next two windows: RW, striker, midfielder, right sided CB
  11. It would be interesting to know how much they run but from what Howe said recently in an interview where asked about managing training load he said they kept things pretty low key intensity wise between games. So you’d imagine easy paced running and focus on tactics and drills rather than volume and intensity. Obviously players coming back from injury might do a bit more volume.
  12. Exactly this, basically lose the spine of the team and throw in a load of fatigue and you’re properly up against it. Bournemouth to their credit too full advantage of our situation and fully deserved the win.
  13. Just look where we were two years ago and what he’s done. Also look at games like Wolves away under Bruce just before the take over and how shockingly bad that was and then look at where are now and what we’re doing. Enough said.
  14. Completely agree. I don't necessarily see this being fully addressed in Jan (it’ll be hard to find the right player) but definitely next summer. Wilson assuming he stays should gradually become the 3ed option.
  15. Hopefully the clown got singled out by other fans and out in their place ffs
  16. It’s the quick fix fickle brigade who won’t accept losing under any circumstances. Injuries have caught us with us, we looked knackered but they’ll conveniently look past this.
