Mint that he got 75 mins, makes me much much confident for the games coming up.

Good summing up, was in the Strawberry corner and felt the same. Quite a few players slightly off the pace but to be expected really. Still we’re through and a good run out for most of the players which is ideal pre Leicester and still with a few days to train this week. Great that Wilson got a good run out and ASM showing some sharpness. Bar the odd foray forward B’mouth basically had everyone behind the ball.

I think it’ll be a good atmosphere, more season ticket holders/regulars in attendance with people starved of competitive football for yonks. Kind of the re-start of the season too. -
Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

I think we’ll sign a new starting LW or someone who can play either side next summer (or indeed Jan if the right players is abailable) and ultimately he’ll be off. -

This is why he be replaced eventually -
Thats very true

Complete guesswork but looking at Howe’s quotes and the fixture list a place on the bench (two weeks) v Arsenal or more realistically a return in the cup match in some form seems more likely. Failing that you’d hope he’s back for Fulham at home which is basically a month away.
-
One of those would be mega wouldn’t it. I’d imagine the “strong” rumours will start to roll out pretty soon from Ornstein et al if a big move looks like it might happen as we’re very close to jan 1st. Martin Hardy is usually pretty reliable too.

The joke is that if any of them were offered the chance with PIF they’d all have snapped their hands off. Their moralist standpoint would go out the window.

Spot on and keeping your cards to your chest also relates to January. I saw someone on Twitter moaning about this very aspect but they’re hardly going to say “yes Isak is definitely out for 3 more months and we desperately need a another striker” ?

I just don’t see Wilson playing as early as Tuesday given recent quotes. He’ll be on the bench at best I reckon. Theyll want him 100% for Leicester -

It’ll be interesting to see if January plans change at all in relation to both situations. I agree the Wilson situation doesn’t sound anything particularly concerning but his history always makes us assume the worst.
-
Exactly. A load of people get frustrated he’s not playing like the rest of us but then come out with absurd statements. At this level of sport 1-2 weeks specific rehab could be the difference between playing the rest of the season of missing huge chunks of it. Maybe these knackers would rather it was Bruce rushing him back to certain doom.
-
He fits the bill, can play across the front 3 and do either out and out striker or wing forward role really well. The new contract is surely just to push the eventual transfer fee up.
-
Twitter, the voice of reason ? I’ve come off there or rarely go on for various reasons including continuous doom in various facets of life
-
True but if Isak is out, I’d rather have Wilson starting particularly for Leicester and Arsenal
-
We can beat Bournemouth at home without him it’s Leicester, Leeds, Arsenal games I’m more interested in
-
If his return date remains uncertain (only they will know this and won’t give much away) and if Wilson is also carrying a niggle post World Cup then January recruitment might be altered. They might bring either a striker in or someone who can play both, Thuram off the top of my head. All speculation obviously
-
Couldn't disagree more. I’d agree with you if Bruce and the old set up was in place. Nobody knows exactly what’s going but he’s in far better hands now. Let’s just let them get in with helping him recover rather than completely writing the lad off for the season.
-
That’s probably the type of option Howe will want next season with a more attacking left full back
-
I’m glad I didn’t pay £20 to sit in the cold and watch this
