I’ll drink to that Rod

Good lad Stif, fighting the good fight. Thankfully, I don’t think we need worry on this occasion. The government is utterly fucked financially for a long time to come
-
Fuck me, does he just know fuck all about what he’s doing? Someone needs to cuff him and get him away from interviews as soon as possible
-
Will be watching and would just like to see us move the ball round well and ideally not get played through with ease multiple times. If either of those things go fine then I’ll be happy
-
He’s also got a sycophant vibe about him. Although he doesn’t actively suck up to people in his tweets he comments unnecessarily on loads of stuff. Obviously it’s about “building his brand” and monetising himself but always feels so desperate to me when he’s surely already in a great position
-
The more I think about it, the more fucked off Ratcliffe must be. His comments aren’t wise and aren’t going to help the situation. He obviously couldn’t help himself so that suggests he’s an angry man. Why would he be angry about something that is absolutely standard in contract law / negotiations? Either because he just loves being an entitled prick or Man U aren’t in a strong enough financial position to make the move without damaging some short-term plans. Stupid twat

“Here lads. I’m not getting dragged into this but what I will say is some utter guff about how the law works even though I clearly don’t understand contract law. I like to have grown up conversations, that’s why I’m talking out my arse to journalists acting like I’m a child who didn’t get my favourite Paw Patrol figurine for Christmas.”

Entrance to STACK via ballot? Where can I sign up

Can see this one getting some decent mileage over the coming years. Might use it myself if you end up falling to pieces

What came out of the safe standing workshop? Was this from last season? Would be interested to know more about what fans advocated for, surely they wanted more safe standing? And in multiple areas?

There’s a write up by Haydn in the general NUFC thread

Really don’t think they’ll ever crack it. They had Messi, Neymar, Mbappe and a team of other quality players and completely blew it. They had decent defenders in there too. Messi was still arguably the best in the world and if not then Mbappe was. They tried to throw money at it and it didn’t work. I just think when players go there they go there knowing they’re getting paid a ransom. They then see the standard of opposition of a lot of the French league and get complacent. You don’t go to PSG if you want to be the best player in the world. Their only hope is Mbappe’s plan of having a French identity and players who want to succeed there
-
Wonder when PSG will give up and accept no matter how much money they throw around they’re still going to be shit compared to Europe’s other elite teams
-
Dunno like, their club culture is rotten to the core. Their ground and facilities are falling apart and decades behind some teams. There’s obviously been major disillusionment which has set in due to the Glazers. Is Dan the best person to resolve all these things? Really not easy to say as the amount of investment required is huge but it’s almost impossible to put a price on changing a club’s culture, especially when the Glazers are still there in the mix

This is it, Jim likes a vanity project and he likes pulling together a team of top experts. Fair play but football is vastly more complicated at the very top level when a team has flagged for so long than almost any other sport, certainly non-US team sport. The amount of money that’s involved, luck and continued good decisions needs someone who is able to be in it for a long time and keep pumping money in when it’s seemingly not going right. It’s not going to work out for Jim and his pals long-term even if they have a little boost for a year or so. What could save Man U is if they have some incredible players coming through their academy who love the club, think that might be their only hope because it’s still rotten to the core

Satire yah?

What does TheKnowledge refer to in your name? I only know the association with London cabbies
-
This is a little too accurate for my liking

Any players in the wider squad were unable to shift that we could use this “curse” precedent on? Absolute game changer
-
Probably the thing that made me despise Pardew the most
-
Steve Cooper would be perfect actually, if given time. Can’t see him being desperate for the job given how regularly you shift managers though
-
Bit gutting for her and the fans if that happens like. I see her as the heart of the club really, certainly at senior level. Eddie is also the heart but I like the idea of there being a mainstay that cares passionately at senior level. She’s someone who desperately wants to make a success of this

This is the content we’ve craved for too long. At long last our faith has been repaid

Godfrey thick as shit

This hinchcliffe? He’s such a monumental goon
