  1. This has been the most interesting thing to happen all game
  2. Should be allowed to apply for compensation when you get a game of this quality
  3. Looks like he has no idea what to do with the ball in this side
  4. That was far more of a push from Carlos than Joelinton’s one yesterday
  5. And I accept that Man U aren’t currently in the top half but they’ve not finished below it for thirty odd seasons
  6. For two top-half sides this is as bad as it gets in terms of quality
  7. Rashford terminally offside during that break, so poor
  8. Maguire’s such a dunce
  9. This game is so poor, constant turnovers
  10. Think they’re a particularly angry and bitter set of fans. Might come from being in Liverpool’s shadow for so long
  11. No need to panic, and, should the worst happen and they lose 5-0 then I think a long hard look in the mirror should sort it all out
  12. If he’s stayed fit after leaving us he’d have had a great career. Left foot was immense and head was as good as it gets, great physical strength too
  13. Was a decent cameo and important to have fresh legs. Hope he can keep coming on and playing well as he can help the squad a lot that way
  14. I completely agree that it’s absurd that we aren’t playing with a striker at the moment. To have three on our books and not be able to field one shows we’ve messed up in the transfer window. We could have sold Wilson in January for money and although it’s easier to say it in hindsight I think there were decent numbers who thought it was sensible to try and sell then. Isak I think has largely been unlucky with his injuries, he’s not a crock by any means but he does seem a little delicate
  15. He can’t hit a standing ball with pace, doesn’t ever shoot through his laces, always curls side footed. It can work if there’s pace on the ball already but he can’t generate otherwise. Hopefully we see less shots like yesterday’s from now on as it’s just a waste
  16. Not going to argue against the fact that we’re poor at converting chances (Barnes aside) in open play and we’re very poor with final balls too often. That doesn’t alter the fact we created good chances yesterday, we did
  17. Bruno had a shot from eight yards where he was free, Gordon headed it back to Jow when he was five yards out. We had a penalty, we had Gordon’s miss 1 on 1. There were other ones as well but those were all very good chances

    Jacob Murphy

I have no idea why he was playing on the left and less of an idea why he came off after Barnes
  19. He’s always been better than Murphy. Murphy can cross a ball and has pace but Miggy is way better at defending, way better at pressing, significantly better at carrying the ball. Miggy is very frustrating because he can’t cross the ball and is desperate to be on his left foot but he’s far more use to us when we’re pressing teams well than Murphy
  20. One of the very best in the league at it. Who’s better in central defence in the league? Guehi is a very good passer from there but I can’t think of many players that rival him on the pass
  21. Our press was excellent, we won the ball back countless times in their half. That was much improved. We transitioned out of defence and midfield into wide positions far quicken than we have done away from home all season and during last season. This meant we had more promising positions and weren’t just ponderously attacking against rows of players. Our movement was generally much improved as well with Gordon running in behind and other players getting in behind. I’ll happily agree that our final pass and finishing was abysmal
  22. I completely agree there’s been a trend to our away performances for ages. They’ve been awful. Today was nothing like most of our away performances in the last 16 months
