Think there’s a very good chance we’ll see Gordon on the right at some point but not starting. When his fitness is up to the full 90 I can see him switching to the right towards the end of matches with Barnes coming on
-
Don’t want to think about this game until I’m in a more positive mindset. Will start giving it attention midweek. Hopefully Gordon has another great game
-
He almost scored two goals that would be potential goals of the month. He did some great work but that shot he lifted ten yards over the bar from 8 yards was a killer. Acres of space, no pressure on him. I love Miggy but to not even get that on target was criminal
-
Going to be pissed off about it on some level all season unless we have some amazing results in the CL or league to counteract the horror of being 1-0 up and having a man advantage for 70 mins against fucking Liverpool and that dickhead Klopp and then going on to lose the game
-
Still livid. Total complacency for far too much of the match. It’s the fact it happened against Liverpool that’s making it hard to take

Ankle injuries can be really annoying, just got to hope it isnt ligaments
-
Not remotely concerned about what this means long-term, I don’t think it’ll dent his confidence or belief but I do think he’ll use it as a major learning exercise. His major work is going to be figuring out how to break teams down this season and I think Gordon and Isak are the key

Spot the mackem

Thought he played really well generally. It was a poorly executed pass but extremely unfortunate the way it fell
-
I thought he looked quality again, and he’s clearly not quite up to speed yet in playing in our system and with his new teammates, going to be such a special player
-
Eh? Joelinton was absolutely outstanding today
-
Hopefully that’s the worst result we’ll have under Howe this season. The intensity we played with was really concerning given we were only one goal up
-
Feel absolutely sick, don’t think it could have gone any worse in that second half. Absolutely disgraceful performance
-
That’s definitely true in pure monetary terms but a lot of those other teams have overpaid and the player value is skewed accordingly. Chelsea and Man U love to overpay on players. Our squad is better than Spurs’ these days and I’d take us over Liverpool currently, and Man U. I think it’ll take a while for our new lads to bed in properly (mainly the full backs) but we have a squad that is going to be relatively consistent over the next three years. The same can’t be said for some of the other clubs, especially Man U
-
Yeah, he was already diving before any contact was made, he then tried to make some during the dive. Should have got a yellow card and been told that if it happens again this season he’ll get a straight red
-
I think it’s mostly as simple as there won’t be as many consequences and issues if they always side with the big teams on any controversial call. I don’t know if that’s because the big teams have some actual leverage or whether it’s just logical bias. Whatever the reason, it’s a disgrace and there needs to be endless pressure until things change
-
Isak off the leash. Klopp’s mush wetter than mouldy quiche. Isak to score, Barnes to score. 3-1, tears for gnasher
-
Was just total despondency in people’s voices when I listened it. Couldn’t even enjoy it as they sounded like they’d given up all hope
-
Awful awful decision, as bad as they come
-
Fuck off VAR in this Milan game, absolutely ridiculous to call the ref over whatever he decides
-
Someone nabbed that from @TheHoob?
-
Decent shout, they’re playing awful football. The ownership situation may keep him in a job but I can’t see him seeing out the season if he doesn’t get results in the next few games
-
Ten Hag at the wheel is it?
