A fight is needed? Big Jow’s season may not be over after all. Send in the heavies
-
Love it when someone makes an absolute fool of themselves
-
Does anyone actually want to stay in KSA other than Gerrard and Neves?
-
aye, just imagine if he’d been with us and had come back from a ban and we were still owned by Ashley and he was basically saying he wanted out as soon as possible. We’d fucking hate the lad and that’s before all the “fuck Brentford” stuff
-
Don’t have a lot of respect for him, poor loyalty really. I know everyone’s out for themselves and he doesn’t owe his career to Brentford but feels a bit cheap basically coming out with a “come get me” plea at the absolute first opportunity
-
Chelsea value him at £50m aye, because they add an extra 50% minimum when they’re buying players. I’d say he’s worth £25m currently
-
Really rated him in his Southampton breakthrough season. He’s looked atrocious when I’ve seen him for Chelsea though. Wonder if the injury has done him in
-
I’d be putting Gordon a lot higher than £50m. He’s worth £75m in my book right now and he’s rising
-
Trying to offload Eddie into the England job to speed up his own exit to PSG. Hound him out
-
He was good at tracking back and tackling but his main asset is driving the ball forwards at speed. No one breaks in transition close to his speed in the squad. Gordon, while faster in terms of pace doesn’t move the ball anywhere near as quickly. Willock is one of the best in the league at running with the ball at pace
-
Hayden is the man for the job. Sell Bruno for a fat hundy
-
Personally think Ramos is made for us, much more conventional striker than Isak so would be a good replacement for Wilson. Isak and Ramos could definitely play together and do so better than Isak and Wilson as Wilson doesn’t have the same pace and movement at this stage
-
I like Simon Brotherton and some of the other MOTD commentators, at least one if not both Steve’s. Mowbray’s fine etc
-
What the fuck is going on in football governance? Some extremely dodgy stuff happening
-
Got one that fits a ten year old version of me. Looking forward to my daughters being old enough to wear it
-
Recency bias. He’s maybe forgotten who Willock is
-
Beth’s motivational and upbeat attitude would be worth its weight in gold too
-
£75,000 for Jonjo, £100k for Wood. Why couldn’t we have gotten rid of a couple of others to them too
-
I remember the post, I responded to it. Would be disgusted
-
Typically grim stuff unfortunately. Fuck knows where the truth lies in it all but I can’t imagine there are many people in positions of power in KSA whose hands are clean
-
I would not want to see Jonjo line up for us ever again
-
Brazilian DM, take our money Atalanta

I agree actually related to Barnes. He’s an outlier of a signing. He’s not someone I expect to improve a lot and not someone who can play multiple roles or increase his value. I don’t think his value will drop significantly but it was an odd signing. I like him and see immediate value to him as a signing but we needed a RW not a LW so everything about that signing made no sense compared to every other signing we’ve made
-
Swear to god these people don’t actually follow football other than some of the narratives flying around
-
Everything related to transfers is targeted towards long-term. Both in terms of signing young players with significant room for improvement and increases of value. I think they’re looking at players and saying - “In three year’s time, will this player be a better player than they are today and will their value be higher?” If not, no interest. So you have that to contend with alongside FFP, alongside other clubs not wanting to deal with us. That’s a narrow pool of players to be looking at. I think the approach is extremely sound long-term. My only criticism would be that we’re not taking punts on cheaper players like Brighton have, for players who haven’t quite broken through yet
