  1. Hope you’re not talking about such luminaries as Robbie Savage and Gabby Agbonlahor. Two of the greatest minds and voices football has seen both on and off the pitch
  2. With no idea. Surprised he’s not ended up in the slammer again yet. I’m sure he’ll make his way back there one day as he’s all over the place, dangerously arrogant and a violent person

It’s the right attitude for them to take, don’t blame them. They’re realistically never going to be able to compete with us so they have to go into games against us as North East Bottom Dogs
  4. The fuck is going on here Ref, get the ball off the pitch
  5. Garnacho’s such an interesting player. He’s a bit of a wildcard. Has great balance when dribbling and would always be dangerous running at a defender. Does some odd stuff as well. Overall, I really like him. McTominay, I’m pleased for the lad. He’s a good goal scoring midfielder. Still wouldn’t want him as his ability on the ball isn’t good enough but fair play to the lad
  6. Fuck Villa man, unbelievable effort from Emery
  7. It was soft but definitely a pen, you can’t grab someone’s shirt from behind and pull back on them when they’re running through clear
  8. Stonewall penalty against Brighton
  9. Need the 3 points here. Bruno and Trippier back in the goals please

This women’s game is shite. Scotland are so awful at the back. I really don’t know what the answer is but the biggest difference between the men’s and women’s game is in the goalkeepers
  11. Can only be a good thing, absurd to have as many as we do right now
  12. Seems like a bit of an all rounder no? Not amazing at anything but seems versatile with a good attitude
  13. Big fan of his character but his game is so boring
  14. They getting some Tory Comms lead in? Seems like something out of their playbook
  15. They sure as hell don’t look like they do too much running in training

@TeddySAFC how confident are you that the ownership / senior management structure have a good plan in place for longer term promotion? Are they working towards it by a certain date and will view a manager as failure if they don’t get there within a season or two? I ask just because the championship is extremely competitive, more than ever really with a number of clubs being able to spend big money. You’re against the odds to come back up soon so I thought a bit of stability would have been welcome. Nothing wrong with ambition if they make the right decisions though

I agree about level 7 in fairness. For me, it’s not the view, it’s all down to the atmosphere being dead

Odd, I don’t watch them but they just needed stability for a while, idiots

Main thing that makes me not want to get to the ground early or buy drinks / food is that it’s rammed and the queues are long. Would far prefer to just relax somewhere quiet out of the ground and have a nice meal. Would definitely eat street food in the ground if it was quality and there weren’t big queues though
  20. @Froggy which player would be feeding this to the press or is the noise coming from someone else in the camp?

Anyone making the claim that Dummett is a poor defensive option is off the mark. He’s made of glass and he has little to zero footballing ability on the ball but he’s an excellent defender. Wouldn’t exactly be delighted to see him turn out but it wouldn’t be because of his defending

Received the email, will reply later on. I’ll be advocating for staying at St. James’ personally. The food and drink stuff doesn’t really affect me, as I hate queueing and hate missing a second of the match

    Nick Pope

Can’t see us signing a GK in January. However, I think the summer will be looked at as a time to see if the right player comes available. I’m very happy with Pope but is this his third bad injury to that shoulder? Does anyone have an idea of similar goalkeeping injuries and whether it could actually limit his game in the future or make him more injury prone? If so, I can’t imagine we’ll be sitting on our arses
  24. Games like this rarely go as you expect them to. You’ll be fired up, I imagine we will too but it’s not easy to predict. If we played ten times you’d get rinsed over half by multiple goals but a one-off game and you could make things difficult if your players are out to break bones
