  1. I’m 35 and the only two players that I think were of the same level consistently during my time following the club were Shearer and Beardsley. There are basically no weaknesses to Bruno’s game, he’s a complete player and the only thing he needs to do is keep this level up. If he stays at this level and he’s here in three years I would bet on us to win a cup or finish in the top four by the end of 2025/26
  2. Lovely connection on that, still not exactly convinced by him but he can clearly strike a ball
  3. Yeah, never watch Wolves. Is such a weird sight, that and his absurd physique
  4. Traore basted himself in oil like a bodybuilder in advance of coming on the pitch?

    Joe Willock

I didn’t see the game today so can’t comment on this one specifically. I’m a fan of his and I recognise he’s largely struggled to impose himself on games this season, but a poor Jenas? They’re such different players
  6. Can’t wait to hear “I just wanted to have a fair crack at the whip, but hey, that’s management these days.”
  7. Not been impressed by Scamacca from what I’ve seen. What type of striker is he, a target man who can hold it up?
  8. Luton are very well organised and Hull are awful, not vintage viewing this
  9. Fuck off Neymar, you little shithead https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/sep/30/brazil-neymar-bolsonaro-support-election
  10. Didn’t this schmuck link us with someone over the summer, can’t remember whether anything came of it or not but I’m sure I recall his name
  11. Likely going to watch Hull v Luton tonight after having been starved of club football, what have I become

The lad sounds so mature and seems like he’s got a great attitude just based off those brief comments

Going to lay my reputation on the line and say he’s going to be an even bigger club legend than Curtis Good
  14. What are the rules, if part of the attacking player’s body is behind the defender’s body then they’re onside? I’m interested, we’ll see a lot more goals but a lot more VARs
  15. All the Americans, once they own 70% of PL clubs you can be sure there’ll be some horrific reforms made to how the league operates
  16. I think the problem with Longstaff is that he doesn’t have a perfect position for the premier league. If he played in a slower league where he gets more time on the ball he’d be a decent centre midfielder. He’s shown that he can pick a pass and deliver nice short dinked balls but ultimately he isn’t strong enough, athletic enough or skilful enough to play CM in the premier league for a side that wants to be top half
  17. I remember Everton would sometimes go on some really poor runs of form but they still always managed to finish around the same couple of positions, was an amazing achievement. He had a great core to the team for years though, Phil Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Coleman, Baines, Osman, Cahill and Howard. The only way a team without huge resources can finish that consistently well is if they manage to hold onto their best players every season. It was like everyone in that side was a 7/10 player at worst
  18. Think we'll win this if Mitro is out, if he's in then it'll be a completely different game. Expecting a very good performance from us, think Eddie will have them completely up for this

It'll definitely happen at some point like, but I think we're at least a decade away due to many reasons. There'd need to be a build up of female coaches in the men's game in lower leagues, they'd need to be successful at each of the different stages but I think it'll happen at some stage.

Great work Ashworth et al, loving this policy
  21. Messi just casually taking the piss after coming on as a sub and scoring two great goals, what a lad
  22. Mitrovic strikes me a loyal lad but realistically there could be a lot of teams in for him, he’d be a good fit at a team like Atleti. I imagine Fulham will find it hard to hold onto him

Either way, it’s essential Saka starts as he’s our most direct option, will just run at people nonstop

Saka and Bellingham were class, the rest were a bit up and down. As great a goalscorer as Sterling has been for us, I think I’d like to see Saka starting alongside one of our other wingers instead of Sterling. Maybe Foden left, Saka right. Rice was good as well, Reece James is good at taking the ball down from lofted passes. Defensively Maguire has to go and Dier + Shaw are weak points too

Oh well, at least no one’s going to try poach Pope off us
