  1. Don't worry about us not looking like scoring, we haven't reached that stage in the gameplan yet. Save your criticisms until we're 70 minutes in.
  2. Would definitely take a heavy defeat if it meant Pardew would go.
  3. Waiting until the last 20 minutes to try and get a goal .

    Alan Pardew

Would be nice to hear some discontent towards Pardew at the game rather than just Ashley. Won't hold my breath, though.

Pardew really is something else. Two years on from preferring Obertan to HBA for half a season and here we are again. Unbelievable.

Yep. Surprised by the number of people who seem to be content with our performance tonight. Not sure who's worse.

    Papiss Cissé

I think Cisse's problems at the moment go beyond tactical questions but I bet he looks better at his next club.
  9. He's s*** man Nah, he's quality. As mentioned above we could have done with the cutting edge he can provide as opposed to the 'playing the percentages' bullshit we served up most of the game.

    Alan Pardew

Don't think we played very well today at all. Reverted to the only tactic that Pardew understands with predictable results.
  11. We're playing the only style Pardew knows how to coach. Pretty desperate. I'd expect City to come out stronger in the second half and make the necessary tactical adjustments. It's a pretty weak line up for them and one seriously lacking in creativity.
  12. That city team is fairly weak by their standards. Didn't realise Boyata was still there.
  13. Doesn't make the bench again. Surely finished here. Hope he stays in the premier league and proves his doubters wrong. Fuck off, Pardew.

    Alan Pardew

Premier League only.... http://i39.tinypic.com/15nwqcg.jpg Considering what he took over and what he's done with it he's easily the worst on that list. What a c***. Dalglish and Souness are worse, both took over after very successful periods and screwed up completely not sure i agree in some respects both managers you mention were tasked with changing a perceived failure in the methods of their predecessors (our 2 most successful managers of the era btw) and both failed at that...same for gullit tbh although KD wasn't successful gullit was expected to reverse the style of play and failed to do so nah, i'm sticking with my first statement, he's the worst of the lot - the players we have now would be tearing it up with anyone else, he's a f***ing jonah man Daglish took over a side fighting for the title (including having the worlds most expensive player at the time) and when he left the club was mid table Souness took over a side competing around the european spots and left a woefully overpaid squad somewhere in lower midtable. How anyone can argue Pardew has done worse is beyond me. they f***ed up more because they were in charge of their own transfer and made an utter shitsack of it pardew has been handed good players and a squad improving in quality since the moment he arrived, he's f***ing incapable of managing it...it's contentious, i'll agree, and depends on what you value personally as to who you think has failed more - as i said imo KD and GS were both publicly tasked with righting the perceived faults of their predecessors and this was ultimately the only reason both were appointed pardew had none of this s*** going on, he took over a team on the up with few expectations, the quality of player has improved and performances have dipped with the exception of the 5th season which surely ever f***er now has to see as a total freakshow Dalglish and Souness walked into sides with much better players than any we have now and cocked up completely leaving us a pale shadow of what we were. Face it nothing Pardews done anywhere near the damage that those 2 did to nufc. Souness in particular has to be vilified he walked into a side that had finished 5th the previous season (iirc) tore it apart and after being given a fortune to spend screwed up his spending completely and his transfers at best did okay at worst were complete disasters that left us with wage wise a champions league side but nowhere near those places and it was the first step to our eventual relegation. Look, I know what you're saying and the impact Souness had, for example, was obviously devastating long term but don't forget he was brought in to do what he did, very clearly by FS. Going in circles man. They're all s****, the point I'm making is the others signed the players that sealed their fates. If Pardew was given 50m to spend on who he wanted how do you think would go from there on in? Better or worse than Souness? No, he's been handed fillet steak and has served up f***ing dog food. Since I'm of the opinion a well trained dog could have spent money better than Souness did obviously better. What we have now and what Pardew has to work with is a team built not on any kind of intelligent plan or grand footballing philosophy what we got in a side built with two objectives 1 cheap 2 sell on. And it bloody shows the side is woefully imbalanced and severely lacking in key area's. This isn't any kind of squad that should automatically be competing around the european places its a side that stinks of mid table. Pardew is the one who should be providing an intelligent plan and footballing philosophy. Everton and Southampton, both of whom have a weaker first XI than us, are currently in the top six because they have managers who are capable of providing those things.

    George Caulkin

So Ashley would be upset to read praise about one of the club's employees? I assume it is someone who has since left. my guess is Pardew, he's not exactly fond of him atm
  16. Not very strongly, was interviewed for the everton job though iirc.

  18. Hmm,he would probably be tempted by an opportunity at a club like us under normal circumstances. He's about the best name I can come up with who could be considered somewhat realistic.

    Cowardice

Edited there for you. he's not the problem simply another symptom. The problem is Ashley and a moronic transfer policy and the thinking that just buying players from one sub-par league is a good idea. Plenty of very good players have come from the French league. yes but that doesn't mean you just do all your transfer business there. Other leagues exist, the lower leagues exist. Plenty of very good players have come from there too. Not this again, We've bought from other leagues. The players we've brought from France aren't second rate donkeys. Time to accept that Pardew is out of his depth managing this style of player as he was at West Ham when he benched Tevez and Mascherano. love how the players have become sacred cows who you never ever criticize or think they maybe just maybe are not that good. Fact is had Williamson did what MYM did vs Everton first half or last week vs Liverpool he would be hung out to dry by everyone on here, same for Steven Taylor, see also if Simpson had played as badly as Debuchy certainly has. Why can Cisse do absolutely nothing outside the box? Why does Sissoko go missing all the bloody time. What the hell does Gouffran offer? Why is Colo still the captain after wanting to f*** off? Sell them all and get a new lot then, would that be your solution? start by sorting out the transfer policy. Fact is the manager having 0 input in signings- and as such the guys he's got to fit in a system together- isn't working all that well. The squads completely imbalanced and lacking any kind of actual width which makes us very predictable. We need to scout and sign players not just in france but in all the major European leagues and the English leagues. You want the guy who chose Hayden Mullins over Mascherano to have more input on transfer policy. Wake up.
