s*** lofted crosses to nobody as soon as we get into the final third pretty much constitutes our entire attacking strategy, along with standing around watching HBA and shooting every time we are in a bit of space outside the box.

    Cowardice

Edited there for you. he's not the problem simply another symptom. The problem is Ashley and a moronic transfer policy and the thinking that just buying players from one sub-par league is a good idea. Unbelievable.
  3. This is very true. He is the definition of spineless, with no conviction in anything he does, or any faith in his players. If he stumbles on to something, and it works, he'll keep doing it until it doesn't work and then he'll change to something else. So aimless and rudderless. No professional pride or integrity. There are no redeeming qualities about him, really. I know that in decades to come, I'm going to hate talking about this generation of football because people will slag off the likes of Sissoko, HBA and probably others too -and each performance and the reaction to these players after every performance is like propaganda before my very eyes - "HBA is overrated" etc., as though quality players are like wind-up toys that you can wind-up and drop into any position on the pitch in any function and expect them to drive forward at breakneck speed, operating in isolation from what's around them. Ungodly infuriating. I'd rather we had no talented players than watch them under Pardew sometimes, I really do. We concede today and just panic, trying long shot after long shot. Individuals taking on too much by themselves getting crowded out, getting kicked and hacked by the neanderthal mackems. So f***ing brainless. There's no point thinking about which individuals we can sign in the summer, what personnel we should deploy from game to game etc because it honestly won't matter if Pardew is at the helm. Great post.

No we didn't. Cardiff suck, and we needed 2 very good individual goals from Remy to win against them. I don't think i've ever seen a team more reliant on of pieces individual skill to score goals, be it a longshot or run past multiple defenders. There is no teamwork and movement on this team. It is painful to watch. Agreed. People praised the Liverpool/Cardiff games because they were above the standard you expect from Pardew and we seemed to playing the ball along the ground more. Attacking strategy, transitional play and movement were all still far below an acceptable level in those games. We created quite a bit against Cardiff, it's not sacrilege to say we played well on the attack then. As for Liverpool, I'd agree that it was more that we had more of the ball than any chances we actually made. The Cardiff game was better than normal but it still took individual quality ("moments of magic™") to win the game. Too often our attacking play (as it so often does under Pardew) amounted to little more than a rushed, lofted ball into the box as soon as we get into the final third.

  6. Didn't Pardew shift him out wide in the first half? Limited player with a lot of room for improvement technically but Pardew has little idea how to best utilise him.

You both are absolute disgrace and embarassing. The lack of knowledge shown by both is incredible. Let me ask you fast, what position was Benny playing when he was doing the job for us? When did it all go wrong? Answer that. For being that intelligent. Spot on. Being wasted by our moron of a manager.
  8. Thought he was very good today. So good in the air and solid defensively. Pleased he got on the scoresheet.

    Alan Pardew

Owns Liverpool ffs I know,we really weren't that great against Liverpool. It may have been a great performance by the incredibly low standards Pardew has set, but, to me, our attacking/transitional play and movement was as poor as ever.
  10. Considering the little amount of pitch time afforded to him, I think he's made a very good impact. Can't remember many games where he hasn't been tidy at the very least, and there were several games where he was one of our standout players. In terms of assists/chance creation there wasn't anyone better for us last season, and I don't think we have many players who are better technically.
  11. It's crazy, I think he could have done a job today. Me too, especially as we should be looking to attack them from the off. At the very least he would be a great option to bring on towards the end if we are struggling to break through their stubborn defence.
  12. Doesn't even make the bench. Again. Behind Obertan and the fucking Ameobi brothers.

    Loïc Remy

He's a mercenary. I'm not going to get attached to him.

Discussed this before, but for me Lukaku and Baines would walk into our team and you could also make a case for one of Jagielka/Distin. I wouldn't have many other Everton players in our first XI. Swap Martinez for Pardew this season and you can basically swap the league positions too imo.

  16. Have to accomodate Suarez in my team somehow from now on, probably at the expense of Sturridge.
  17. Been shit so far this season . Gameweek 9: Crystal Palace 0-3 Arsenal Aston Villa 2-2 Everton Liverpool 2-1 West Brom Man Utd 2-0 Stoke City Norwich 0-0 Cardiff City Southampton 2-1 Fulham Sunderland 1-1 Newcastle Chelsea 2-2 Man City Swansea 2-1 West Ham Tottenham 2-0 Hull City
  18. He's made a very good impact overall considering his limited gametime. This season he's had a couple of average showings in games in which the whole team performed poorly, mostly. Cup games seems to be something we struggle with across the board, bit harsh to single him out for that. I haven't completely written off Marveaux as a wide forward, but personally I'd have Michu as the CF with Marveaux as the furthest forward in midfield .
  19. Sissoko Cabaye Marveaux HBA Cisse/Gouffran Remy With Tiote/Anita making way - For most home games, at least.
  20. Stupid for people to criticise his lack of consistency given he hasn't been given a consistent run of games. In the little pitch time he was given last season he was consistently one of our most creative players in terms of chance creation/assists. He would be excellent there. Look at what Laudrup gets out of Routledge and Dyer, two significantly inferior players. Pardew isn't good enough to construct a side which would get the best out of players like Marveaux, more like.
