I suppose there is the possibility he might do well if he got it. Had good cup runs with Palace and West Ham.

It really is that simple. Too many forrins in the PL. If you want a better national team there's got to be more English players actually playing at the highest level. I can't see that at all. The individual quality of English players has improved because the competition for places at clubs is greater, with the number of good foreign players coming in. Whether it's improved enough, I suppose, is another matter. All round, we're still not technically as sound as other countries. A particular difference is their defenders have more confidence on the ball, and can contribute more in possession. It allows them to function better and more flexibly as teams. Agree with both of these posts. We're going on like we don't have many players to choose from? There were players that performed very well in the league, scored a lot of goals, got a lot of assists. That didn't even get a look in. We can't get a competitive 23 together, because of all the forrins? Absolute rubbish. I think the point about all of our players, playing in the prem, is spot on. We have a lot of players suited to the cut and thrust nature of our league. When it's all intricate and tactical, most of them look clueless. As we have done all tournament. We have lacked craft and guile and have no clue how to break teams down and work proper openings. How many decent chances did we have last night? I think to add further to the quoted posts. I would say it's the FA from top to bottom. We don't have the right coaching set up and we appoint dinosaur yes man. Apart from Eddie Howe, I'm struggling to think of one decent English manager? Who coaches our youth teams? Does long ball advocate Aidy Bothroyd still manage the U19's? Gareth Southgate....

It's the way he mentions something like "all they have is the big lad up front Sigorthsson (sp)" then the bloke scores about 2 seconds later. "Oh no."

Well.... I stuck £25 on him staying yesterday at 7/2. Missed the 9/2 and it's now 9/4. I honestly thought he would stay and was pretty confident of this (obviously). I know he could reject the move, despite the clause being met. But it doesn't look good. I really should stay away from football betting. I have never made any decent money off of it. The only half decent one I remember getting right. Was McClaren next manager to go, at 16/1.

Catch 22. I want everyone to feel our pain and to prove Pardew is an unbearable, clueless, shitehawk. However. I have just started to get interested in the national side again. Mainly because it provides at least 2-3 good beer ups with all your mates every 2 years, for major tournaments. I don't think I could watch a Pardew England team and want them to win. Even after a boat load of beer, it would be out of the question.

It doesn't look bad. Both players are one booking away from a suspension, that's probably why it's so high as they probably should be careful I didn't even check, but assumed that was why the odds seemed high. I just thought both are walking yellow cards. Well, Ramos certainly is and Chiellini has always seemed like a cynical fucker!

£5 free bet on one of the stupid skybet specials. Morata to score anytime, draw at HT, 4+ corners each, Ramos and Chiellini to get booked. 150/1 I don't really do football betting. Can you tell?

I usually like City's kits. But their home and away this year, are both absolutely lifting.
-
Odds on he plays at the world cup. I think it is just an emotional, heat of the moment comment.
-
Usually get good offers on the nags and their prices are usually decent enough. Rarely bet on football, but their odds seem to be shit in comparison to other bookies.

I don't agree on that last bit. If memory serves, it's been the polar opposite of the World Cup, so far. Where in Brazil, everyone seemed to be going mental in the groups and there were some really exciting games. Then, bar Germany mauling the hosts. The knockout games were all cat and mouse, cagey affairs. As everyone was s*** scared of being knocked out. I hope you're right. As it would be awful if the games got even tighter and tactical.

Euro 2016 trouble - Russia handed suspended disqualification by UEFA
Lush Vlad replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
A load of Russian fans are being 'escorted' from France, apparently? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/06/14/euro-2016-violence-latest-with-uefa-set-to-reveal-russia-punishm2/ -
Wow. Pretty serious allegations. I'd almost forgotten about Muniain. Whatever happened to him? I'm sure he was supposed to be the next big thing. But I've not heard much about him of late?
-
After going AWOL for half the season. I'm sure he hit a bit of form late on and has kind of carried that on into the international friendlies?
-
The one with the Facejacker bloke? I hope you mean a different one, as that is utter s****. Not that one. The Scotland one. Not surprised N-O dislikes them of course. Can't say I've seen it or remember it? TBF, I like a lot of their stuff. A friend of a friend does some of their joke stealing PR. I just don't like them after they refused to pay out my £250 I do find the whole PROPA BANTA thing, a bit tedious, though.

We can't even throw chairs properly That one bloke that launches one. It goes about 3 yards and hits no one. He then stands there giving it the "come on then" arms. Complete with an excited puppy bounce. Absolute mouth breathers, the lot of them. Embarrassing. -
£10 on Spain @ 11/2 with the Skybet offer. Can't say I'm confident, but they owe me nowt. As I have won a bit on them in the past. Plus, I think they should get 2-3 wins. So it would be some of my stake back, at least. So I can waste it on other games. £2 Lewandowski @ 16/1 £2 Giroud at 16/1 £2 Mario Gomez @ 25/1 £1 Spain/Muller @ 80/1 £1 Germany/Lewandowski @ 100/1 £2 six fold on France, England, Germany, Spain, Italy and Austria to win their groups.

I don't know. I got lost in a myriad of Tom Cleverley posts and got bored.

Seems to be Froggy troll post. Abuse. Froggy apologises, then trolls again a post later. Abuse. Froggy. More abuse. Messi chirps up. Froggy. Messi. Scum. Subhuman scum. Skip to the end. I have no idea why I read it all.

I'm genuinely only messing though. I feel like I get away with it because people jump on me whenever I say anything about Man United. It's all a bit of craic. Unlike a lot of United fans I have a lot of time for Newcastle. That was too obvious

West Ham meh AC Milan Sunderland

Yet I'm sure towards the end of the questioning. He said something like "100% the buck stops with me. I'm responsible for the good things that happen at Sports Direct and the bad." Similar to that Sky interview. It's a load of bollocks. As it clearly isn't the case and he has contradicted the 'buck stops with me' comment, on several occasions. My favourite line was still "I hope you don't mean sexual exploitation." I know it's wrong. As the bloke is vile and there are some horrible stories that have come to light. But I actually found it quite amusing, in some weird way. At times, it was like some sort of dark, cringeworthy comedy show. He kept repeating the questions and not having a clue what he was on about. Or he would just stare into space for ages and then hit back with an awful analogy.

Is the correct answer. Kaiz going on about Southampton being the more attractive club? Don't see it, myself. As Sem says. They will more than likely follow the pattern of selling players and trying to maintain their position in the table. Will they manage to get replacements that hit the ground running, again? I remember Carr and co trying similar when players left, albeit with a different budget. Didn't really work out. At Everton, Koeman was offered a shit load of money for the job, supposedly been promised £100m to spend and they are historically the bigger and more successful club. Seems like a no brainer, to me?
