  1. Pretty much this. Had a quick read up, could just be a small tear and not require surgery, would still swell up if that's the case. Fingers crossed it just swelled a little bit and it's precautionary, from the quotes ('Santon's knee looked a little bit unhealthy after training), it sounded like he completed the training session, and then it swelled up after. Would hazard a guess that a larger tear would stop him from continuing? Perhaps it wasn't that bad #overlyoptimistic
  2. There is no plus side. If the lad has no knees, he'll not make a very good first choice. Will be weeks rather than months, have faith my friend. If not, start praying
  3. On the plus side, Pardew might realise after QPR game and the inevitable demolition job from Zog, that Raylor clearly isn't a left back. Santon as first choice, with Ferguson as back up from now on surely?
  4. FUCK, if SWP was charged with rape the other night, N'Zogbia will be getting done for murder. Raylor will get fucked over
  5. Think the same, hopefully Pardew proves us wrong, although I doubt it.

Based solely on performance and tactics Wigan away on Boxing Day under Fat Sam is the worst I have ever witnessed. Lost 1-0 to yet another Raylor free kick, no shots on target, I think about 2 off target and 1 maybe 2 corners. Viduka up front on his own, Smith and Geremi in the middle, bypassed the midfield for 90 minutes, it was just awful. Oh and I met Mike Ashley and the rumour got round about Barton being locked up, just a dreadful day, and I fucking drove Like someone else said, QPR was bad, but you would think we are used to winning games comfortably away from home. I'm 22 and in my lifetime we've been utter shite on the road.
  7. Agreed, yet on the evidence that he played 70mins and still doesnt fully speak English I would say he is most probably starting from the bench on Saturdady. Surely Colo didn't speak English when we first signed him and he played straight away. Colo must be able to speak some Italian from his time at Milan, his name sounds Italian as well, is his dad from Italy or something?
  8. Santon and Marveaux on the left would be better, can't see Pardew risking it though.
  9. Played there yesterday, scored two, set one and hit the woodwork twice. Sounded like Norwich were pretty shite mind. We'll probably go 4-4-2 with Shola again........
  10. Krul Simpson Saylor Colo Santon Cabaye Tiote Jonas Obertan Marveaux Best
  11. What gameplan was that then? Play like a bunch of strangers? His tactics and management style was bloody awful.
  12. Think I posted this before, but I heard a rumour off two different people at the sunderland match about his weight. The jist of both convoluted stories, was that he had come back to pre season training about a stone and a half overweight and took ages to even shift a few pounds, one even said the Ghana story was made up and he was away doing intense training to lose it Surely he played in pre season a bit though and didn't look like a porker? He looked pretty ripped at the end of the game at the SoS TBH, no beer gut or owt.

Aye, I would much rather he said "3 of the back 4 were brilliant, but one of them, who I won't name was terrible, really really poor game from him." Until he recognises and acknowledges the fact that we are keeping clean sheets in spite of Raylor not because of him, he's not going to lose his place in the side. There are ways to say we defended well, which actually we didn't, we rode our luck and QPR don't have the quality up front required for this divsion, like "We defended well as a team tonight, our defence has been really strong. SWP gave us a tough test tonight but we held firm and kept a clean sheet". If he plays Raylor at LB on Saturday I will quote this and say you were right. IMO, I just think it's another morale boosting comment from Pards, on FM Ryan Taylor would be PR= Delighted with Alan Pardew's post match comments. No way he will be stupid enough not to start Santon, is there..............?

I think the problem was in midfield rather than on the left. Even if we played Santon, he would still be forced to defend 1 on 1 against SWP which was probably too much for him to handle. So if you say why don't he change the tactics at HT to nullify SWP's threat, then my response was that should he drop Tiote? He doesn't need to drop Tiote, he needs to drop one of the big plank strikers who only get the ball from 50 yard punts down the pitch in any case. Drop Shola and put Marveaux in there to fill the massive gap between the midfield and the forwards. Get the full backs to carry the ball and support the midfield. Get the goalkeeper to throw the ball to the full backs once in a while. These are all things the manager should be doing as part of his job. Maybe he'll read this and a lightbulb will go on in his head. Tron for manager.

  16. It was nothing personal buddy I know mate, just being an arse!
  17. For crying out loud I wish people would get out of this mentality, he can be both right footed and play and left back and vice versa. I'm right footed & I play on the left wing, it's not physically impossible! Alright, keep your fucking wig on Harry. Seeing as Perch is a right back, and right footed, Kadar is a centre back and left footed, I thought it would be an idea to have Kadar in the middle, no? Especially considering the our current options for centre half! For the record, I was not one of the many complaining about Santon being right footed, so nerrrr We're doomed, he doesn't use his left foot
  18. 4-0 up at half time, sounds like Santon is doing well. Kadar playing at right back apparently? Thought he was left footed and a centre back, Perch playing at centre half instead of him
  19. He's in the Reserve Squad today. Cheers mate, good to hear.
  20. No Ferguson? Is he injured again?
  21. Booed during the game, cheered and applauded before and after, how it should be IMO.

So he didn't have to make a save then? Simpson and S.Taylor did it for him. Got caught out a couple of times coming for the ball and then changing his mind, SWP tried chipping him both times one was going in but for Taylor's great clearance. I know he did mate. It was more a comment on how we managed to keep another clean sheet and their poor finishing, but some pedant decided to have a moan. Pop at me I'm guessing. You were making it come across that he had noubt to do but anyone watching the match knew that wasn't true. It wasn't due to great defence we kept a clean sheet last night it was down to their p*ss poor finishing. Well I thought the back 4 was ok ish, barring Raylor who had an absolute car crash of a game, pretty much everything came down that flank. Poor finishing to a degree, but we did scrap and put challenges in on a lot of their efforts, which obviously helped. They missed the Bothroyd sitter and SWP's header, which was far more difficult then what Sky made out I thought, but the rest of their chances we had pressure on the ball or lads on the line. Yeah, we should have lost 3-0, just trying to put a positive slant on it
  23. They both played too deep last night because we were being raped in the middle due to our shocking tactics. Cabaye had no problem pushing up the pitch against Fulham and even against Arsenal near the end of the match.
  24. Spends the whole game chasing shadows and watching the ball sail over his head, totally overrun in the middle due to our s**** tactics and had no movement or out ball, had to just play one-two's with Cabaye. He was s****, but these are a few reasons for his shitness last night, not been great in the other games either though Also, teams seem to have wised up a bit against him. I've noticed he gets pressured a lot more and players don't fall for his little fake and turn. Happened about once a game last season, it's happening about 5 times a game at the minute! His sloppy passing isn't helping either, but there were a few old school Tiote moments last night I thought.
