Cynical, but fair. I know there is still ages left in the window, but because we got 3 players in so quickly, I've now become massively paranoid that we're not going to spend much on new players, and we'll still lose 2 or 3 more.

 That's as bad as the 'Carroll banged Nolan's wife at the Christams party' story. Nolan played against West Ham and in that FA cup game that we would all like to forget.
-
Location undoubtedly - not many would disagree. Considering it's a pretty good arena too with a better than average atmosphere it would definitely have a chance of being considered the "best". Didn't our extension cost more to build than their ground cost from scratch?

My thoughts on him really and when you look at other back up options to Tiote and Cabaye, it doesn't look great IMO. We've got Smith who's a liability and by all accounts is on about 8 times more than him. Gosling who I've never seen play centre mid, who's coming back from a terrible injury. Barton, who will probably leave and apparently can't play centre mid according to most on here. Then what, play Raylor or Perch in there Tiote will no doubt pick up a few suspensions and is away for the ACN at the end of Jan, Cabaye might not hit the gorund running either. I'd get rid of Smith and keep the rest TBH. If we signed this Matuidi, then maybe I could see Guthrie leaving, seems a bit expensive though for a player who wouldn't necessarily be first choice. Would rather we spent money in other areas first.

How could you forget Kuqi and Campbell man! 3 in, 3 out so far. I think the 3 in are an upgrade on the 3 that have departed, only just mind.... Only just ? It was just a bit of sarcasm mate. Aimed certain fans who are still crying about Nolan (not many on here I have to say). When you compare the 3 in, 3 out it's not bad at all.

Sounds like we've finally got some sort of player liaison officer  Good news that, all this good PR will only help the club and help attract other players.

Aye. Did he not often play in the centre alongside Nolan and/or Smith? Played alongside Smith/Tiote when Routlege was wide with Nolan off Carroll iirc. He was alongside Smith when we raped Villa, and he played well. Pulled the strings against Everton alongside Tiote too aswell as playing well in the couple of games Nath has mentioned. The 'Barton CANNOT play centre mid' is completely overplayed, he's far better on the right as he's given the freedom he needs imo, but he's not the slow, weak lumbering sloth people seem to claim he is in the centre. I think this forum is quality, best NUFC one by quite a distance. One thing I have noticed in my short time on here is that people seem a bit extreme with their opinions. Seems to be no middle ground. I would agree that Joey has been far more effective on the right and he has had some poor games at centre mid for NUFC. I would tend to disagree with "Joey is shit at centre mid, he clearly can't play there, has to play right wing or not at all" If I'm not mistaken this is the man that has spent his entire career at centre mid up until about October last year and pretty much kept Man City up on his own by playing at centre mid. Although I doubt many Citeh fans would admit that.
-
Everyone saying he's shite in the middle, has to play right wing is a tad overcritical anyway IMO. Played really well against Chelski and WBA in the middle last two games of the season I thought. Although he was much more consistent on the right.

Like it. Reckon I will end up getting all 3, impressed with all of them so far. Wasn't that keen on the home shirt last season and the blue away was terrible.

Obviously that is a matter of opinion, still be fun to watch the big fat hairy ignorant orangutan fired out of a cannon into the north face of everest, when the sherpas see him, that really emphasise the word abominable, which is a word that i tend to use when i describe his writing, the bulbous yeti faced fat headed gimp. It's all relative really, Samuels could describe Jan Molby and Mick Quinn as lightweights with a straight face... Ho ho ho, both made me chuckle ;D

I'm sure Cabaye said in L'Equipe Pardew said he wanted to play him as a deep lying playmaker? Is this just more guesswork from our local journos. Would think he'd play alongside Tiote in a 4-2-3-1.
-
If that's true then I hope we don't go for him. The last thing we want is hot crossed buns and rock buns being launched about all over the place, we don't want to be getting into a bun fight. Seriously though, we will find out whether he is keen on coming back here, if his demands are as ridiculosu as the journo makes out, he will surely lower them to come back.
-
If we're going to play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, I think there is every chance of us still going for Zog.
-
I know and iv'e heard all this before, but im still not 100% convinced and tbh i wont be until i see him fit and playing. Would be typical if things don't go our/his way. Well my physio told me that the area around the break will actually be stronger now, so no need to worry mate
-
Is he disrupting the team? He's mentioned Nolan (gone) , Enrique and Jonas as being the next to be sold off. If that's not disruptive I don't know what is. If that's captaincy material then maybe we need to re-define the meaning of captaincy. He's also said that we'll sell Ben Arfa as well. Didn't some spanner say he said that at one of his talk ins? Only for it to be rubbished by two or three that also went to the talk. Are you the spanner?
-
It was a clean break, there was no ligament, muscle or tendon damage. No reason why he'll lose his pace, it's just whether he recovers mentally. I reckon he'll be fit for the start of the season like. Depending on how bad this supposed setback is I suppose, but he was back kicking balls, sprinting and doing plyometrics, so he can't be that far off.
-
Good idea, give Mike a call.
-
Already dropped to 1/2 Not 2/1? No 1/2, as in worse odds than 5/6
-
Wigan have told us we can have him for £10m. Source= The Times, I saw it on bbc transfer rumours on me phone whilst having a crap. Good shit as well to be fair.

Or Zombie Nation. 'BA BA BA BA.. BA BA BA BA BA BA. BA BA. BA BA.' "Demba Ba" to the tune of Vindaloo by Fat Les would be good, "Demba Ba Demba Ba lala........." That would actually be pretty cool That's my favourite. Simple, easy to remember and can go on for ages http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLph6ePNkGQ Demba Ba Demba Ba Demba Ba Demba Ba La Laaaaaa Demba Ba Demba Ba Demba Ba Demba Ba La Laaaaaa Winner. Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Demba Ba, Demba Ba. To the tune of Staying Alive. I'll get me coat.

Think it's a f***ing joke TBH. We'll end up with Nolan, Barton, Enrique and Best all gone this summer. All did well for us last season and would usually be in the starting XI when fit. I think he would have been good as a 3rd choice striker, solid squad player and is the best finisher of our current forwards. Would get rid of the others before him, if he goes we now need 3 strikers IMO. Looking like we're having a squad overhaul and not necessarily strengthening, losing too many of our starting line up is going to make us seriously disjointed and it could be a sloppy start to the season. Are we having to sell players to raise funds for new ones?
-
I think people were being sarcastic mate, well I certainly was.
-
that's how i've seen him play. so doesn't really make sense to go after Matuidi unless Tiote is off. Or we're going all Man City. Tiote could be our Yaya Toure, start scoring us goals to win us cup finals
