You get told you aren't wanted. They chose the money over him. Are you totally ignoring the comments he made about, "when a club like Liverpool come in for you, you can't say no" He's gone now, he got stick, a bit much if I'm honest but he certainly deserved some. Do you genuinely think he's blameless in this, he looked gutted when he turned up for his medical and when he shook Dogleash's hand didn't he? He can't have the best of both worlds, it was clearly a bit of both, the club wanted to cash in for a silly amount of money, Carroll wanted silly wages. If the money is reinvested properly it's bloody good business, sadly I don't think it will be.

Marca also spout utter shite so wouldn't worry too much.

He has a French Bulldog called Monster, unless it's died, that was about 2 or 3 years ago.

Fuck me is this the SMB on Newcastle-Online? Knee jerk city on here.

I see Hatem's return date has been put back again, Pardew constantly gives false information! I preffered Hughton's approach.

Nice rack on the jailbait blonde in that pic!

That Metro was a right hell hole, they had wooden chairs out on the dancefloor like a school assembly! If I remember correctly there was a glam model contest on that night, judging by the standards of that place, I reckon there would have been some right roadkill on show Oh, it took fucking ages to queue for a piss as well.

Was at both of them, the Peterboro game was mental, health and safety would have had a field day if anything bad happened, the away end was crammed! When Joey's free kick went in I remember having to support the weight of some fat fucker to stop my little sister getting crushed

There is so many, was at Villa when we went down, Villa when we lost 4-1, WBA this season when we lost 3-1 and too many like that that to remember. Derby and Wigan under Allardyce are the worst though, I don't think we managed a shot on goal in 180 minutes of football, the tactics were useless, it was embarrassing and I was fucking livid after both.

Same as that, Everton away this season was a right laugh as well.

why ? Because we play plenty of long balls direct passes and Gamerio is hardly the tallest or biggest built is he? I'm not a french football expert, in fact I've rarely seen it since Setanta went bust, but I've seen KG on youtube and he hardly looks like he'd fit into the lone striker role for us. so we'd keep the same style of football with HBA and gameiro ? you are only thinking of the lone striker as the big target man, with the right support it can work, think beardsley/cole (HBA is the nearest i've seen to beardsley). it would mean, from the current personnel, jonas having to push further on and stop spending half the game on jose's toes, nolan would play as he does anyway and barton would have to come into the back area more when we have the ball on the other side. all of them would have to learn to move a bit to take advantage of HBA's drifting. It's a fair point and I would prefer us to play it on the deck a bit more, we're not exactly a Wimbeldon/Blackburn type team, but we do utilise the long diagonal and play for flick ons. Considering we have Shola and Carroll before him that's fair enough I suppose. However, signing Gamerio for a big fee and asking him to lead the line on his own, against seasonsed premier league centre backs is a massive ask and for the first season at least he would struggle IMO. Also, in games where we've got our backs to the wall and anywhere will do, I can't see the ball sticking too him after a 60 yard upfield clearance. I don't know much about the lad TBH, so I might be wide of the mark, but from the videos I've seen, I'm not sure I've seen him head the ball and he only looks about 5ft 8"/5ft 9" and a fairly slight build, great finisher though.

If Pardew wants to play a lone striker with HBA supporting, surely we won't be signing Gameiro?

AP did that? Not a bad effort

S.Taylor certainly isn't quick, wouldn't sya he's quicker than Williamson either.

It gives me no peace of mind though. There will definitely be stories of people who are being made to move by the club who will be told their renewal wasn't received and their season ticket not renewed. Sorry, should have used one of the smileys to get my sarcasm across!
-
"If you have recently returned your renewal form, or have requested a seat move, please ignore this email and accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused". I got this e mail as well, that line makes me think they've got it all in hand and everything will be fine........

Thought Guthrie had a very good game last night, fairly tidy in possession, made some crucial blocks/tackles and made a few good forward runs. However you can't leave Big Kev out and I fully agree with Tron's comments, it was obvious last night, and even more so at Villa that we missed any support through the middle of the pitch. Strikers were really isolated.

Think he is a very good old fashioned centre half. Superb in the air, good in the challenge and doesn't usually take silly risks. I also think he isn't that slow for a man of his size, I would say he's wuicker than someone like Collins or Dunne for example, they look like tractors when they start motoring. When Colo eased Hernandez off the ball last night, both were just about keeping up with him. When you consider how quick the little fecker is, that isn't bad. I think he will only improve with experience and his best years are ahead of him, certainly one of our stronger areas in the starting XI, just the back up that worries me.

Would buzz if we got Perotti

Der's more to Oireland, dan dis.

Not watched too much French football, used to when Setanta existed. But he seemed to play wide left, right or in an advanced central position. Seemed like he just got the free role, which is what we should do IMO, like VdV at Spurs. I always thought his natural position was more central, although I may be wrong.
-
any of our forward line at the minute. At the moment I'd have to agree. Playing two forwards and leaving out a midfielder for HBA would seem mental with our current strikers. i don't think he's played that position before but he seems to have what it takes to play there. very much in a beardsleyesque role. He started off as an attacking midfielder. Deschamps predominantly played him out wide and took some of his creativity away, think this was one of the reasons they ended up falling out. I believe there are quotes from HBA and Pardew saying the 'number 10' role is his best position.

Don't blame him for wanting out. He was one of the few players that were wanted by other clubs. Still, refusing to play for the club that gave you your first big break and put you in the shop window, paid your wages etc etc is pathetic. If you don't blame him for being such a petulant w***** fair play, I do. This is exactly why I'm nervous about us signing more French players. Almost every one who has played for us has turned out to be a back-stabbing c***! Sadly I fear that Ben Arfa will turn out to be another one, unless we can give him European football within a couple of seasons. Long-haired Argies are the way forward! TBH, I am still surprised we got HBA. Never thought for one minute we were more than just a stepping stone for him. As strange as it sounds, the leg break might end up being a blessing in disguise for us, as he'll play at least all of next season I would have thought. Also, depending on how skeptical you are, he's the perfect Ashley buy, bought for a reasonable fee with the potential for him to be sold on for two or three times the amount. You never know though, he might actually love our fans......
