I am going to be more gutted when Jose leaves. In my opinion he is an integral part to the way we play and he's the best left back I've seen at NUFC. Plus, since Carroll has left, we've played the ball on the deck alot more, every cloud and all that shite. Not saying I'm happy he's gone, just trying to look for positives!

 brilliant! I thought it was quite funny at the same time TBH, he smashed a hole in the middle of the pitch. I know what you mean though, it was obvious he knew what was coming and I'm sure AP warned him before the match, such a needless booking, didn't look like he touched him, but I was in L7 and he certainly stuck a leg out after losing it. I accept him getting cards playing defensive midfield for a mid table club, especially when he has someone as unfit as Nolan playing alongside him. A lot of the time he gets carded because of persistent fouling or he takes one for the team as such (e.g after Campbells fuck up against Liverpool). But, as others have said, some of his cards are just rash and brainless. Hopefully now he has adapted to the pace of the game and what constitutes a yellow, he will simmer down a bit. Glad to see Pardew will be going through his bookings with him.

I dislike Llambias even more than Ashley TBH. But then again, MA employed the daft twat, so I've got that the wrong way round. The owner and the VC have no clue about football and the fans, lovely stuff.

What could they do though? We can't get back in the top 4 overnight. If we got two or three top quality players in over the summer, and two decent squad players, maybe Jose would stay? Who knows, it sounds like he's hinting at that in his interview with the chron, and he said the same to Marca. However, I personally think he's away regardless and it's a bit of a kop out from him, much like his 'wait until we're safe line' now we're safe there has been no mention of a contract. All the journos and various rumours seem to be saying that he's a lost acuse and he's leaving in the summer, all we can do is speculate though, but it hardly looks promising.
-
Forget who the interview was with, but one of the players referenced Pardew's meticulous approach. They were asked whether they were prepared for the game, the response was "It's impossible not to be with Pardew, he goes through everything 100 times"! Read a while back about getting two more anaylysts in and having DVD footage for every player and their potential opponent. Jury is still out, but there have been changes in the way we play, slight improvements across the board and I'm a fan of this new, seemingly more proffesional approach. However, I still find some of his press conferences and comments cringeworthy and strange. Full season with his team and tactics in place and he can be judged, if he gets that long.

The favourite on there is always "my mag mate said" or "a mag at work said" followed by some ludicrous, clearly made up story. That forum really dies attract some mouth breathers, but it is a mackem forum after all.

When did sunderland sign Dawson? Canny bit of business that slipped under the radar!

They said he done his arm in the gym, must have been pushing 5kg dumbells and his arm snapped.

I actually tend to agree with a lot of his negative views on the club/board. However I can't just simply blame them 100% for everything bad that happens at NUFC like he does, it's petty and childish. I was hoping maybe he was ITK to the goings on inside SJP and he could give me some decent debate, but it appears he just makes stuff up based on a load of assumptions.

Look at the Carroll 'transfer request'. That is the way he will be painted by journos like Lee Ryder who are as good as on the club's payroll. Not this again. I see you failed to anwser on the Carroll thread when asked about the clearly made up and fabricated stories by Carroll, plus the contradicting quotes attributed to him. "I don't want to leave, why would I want to leave" "When Liverpool come in for you, it's impossible to say no" oh and the fact he looked so devestated turning up for his medical. Change the record you boring bastad. It's clearly a bit of both, the club wanting top dollar for him and Carroll wanting top dollar himself. But just bury your head in the sand and peddle your s*** propoganda every time you get the chance mate. Succinct and accurate, you win this round. Sorry. I'm busy at the moment. The summarises how I feel about your post btw. So busy you're trolling in other threads looking for a bite? Of course you are flower, you just keep burrying that head in the sand.

Play a different tune. Still waiting? Or have you not got a reply?
-
He's only been pencilled in for Liverpool and Birmingham to be fair What about Pardew saying April against Wolves? Then last 4 or 5 games, then Liverpool, then Birmingham, then the last 2 games, then never!!!! hehehe

They should have said a long time ago he won't be risked this season. His comeback has been put back so many bloody times it's become tedious.

jose not mentioned in that article, looks like he is on his way Because Lee Ryder doesn't mention him? I also think he's on his way, but that is a good point!

Fuck sake, I'm looking forward to seeing S.Taylor get raped by Cameron bloody Jerome

Not sure how old the kit launch video is, but he's in that, that could have been from the week before he went to France though I suppose.
-
Don't think he's going to be in the squad Saturday. Thought AP said HBA and Gosling had an outside chance of playing in the last two games...
-
I will be really disappointed if we sign Ireland. He can only play one position and we're not even always going to play a formation to suit him. When we do, we already have HBA or Nolan to play there (not a fan of Nolan playing off the striker mind). If we play 4-4-2, he can't play. Seems like a right waste of time and money if true.
-
I would say there are doubts about his attacking, his defending is superb, has lapses now and again, but I'm yet to see a winger take him to the cleaners this season. His pace and strength is ridiculous.
-
Ben Arfa looks like the only one who isn't drunk. Harpers trying to flag down the taxi ;D superb!

Funny that as the missus nephew Issac had trained with both, he's a big Sunderland fan, about 11 or 12 I think he is, his dad is a fanatic as well. Got offered a place at NUFC the other day and took it obviously. Both his mam and dad were more impressed by ours from the first day he went training with them, they might be totally wrong mind. Maybe he's bitter after being let go?

I quite like it, I usually whinge about the new kits for a while and then they grow on me, but although this one is a bit different, I think it looks smart. £50 from the online shop good luck with that. The keeper kit is bloody horrible

Jay Bothroyd and Seb Larsson. Not saying they're ideal, just pretty realistic and Ashley type signings, FREE.
