Well they have a shit load of money to spend, just got a good goalscorer in Gameiro and are supposedly looking for another top striker. Plus Erding and Gameiro probably wouldn't work together, so I would assume Hoarau would start even if they didn't sign a new forward. Don't watch much French football, but that is how I see it, I'm sure someone like Colocho will shoot me down! I would like Erding here, better option than Long and would cost the same, maybe more in wages mind, might be the stumbling block.

Lost patience with him now TBH. Was giving him the benefit of the doubt before, but he clearly wants away. Why not have the decency of handing in a transfer request, or at least getting his prick of a brother to let the club know his attentions.
-
Yes IMO there is. He's not being dignified and he's showing his hand to anyone that cares to look. Saying shite like we're the bigger club is petty and I'm not a fan of our manager going so public about our transfer activity. For the record, I quite like Pardew, but he tries far too hard to appease the fans, contradicts himself a fair bit and some of his comments are uncalled for.
-
Interesting. Not keen on Pardew's comments mind, not sure I like the way he handles the media.
-
5th choice right back? Yep, he wouldn't get in ahead of Simpson, Perch and the Taylors apparently. Personally I would have him in direct competition with Simpson and it would hopefully give little Danny the kick up the arse he needs.
-
I would be pretty gutted if we spent £2m+ on a 5th choice right back, fail to see their logic there.
-
So he wouldn't get in ahead of Perch, Simpson, Raylor or Saylor, but he's worth more than £2m and we can all jog the fuck on. I'm confused?

"Manchester United is a club you can't say no to, but if Newcastle United call then I'd stay in Glasgow, no doubt." He can f*** right off. Thanks Pardew. He was spot on with his comments, SPL is a fucking wank league.

Was watching it at work and one of our regulars is an Everton supporter. "PUT PRESSURE ON HIM", he shouted just before Ben Arfa shot. I was just gasping at what a fantastic strike it was. Everyone in our section of the ground just sort of stopped and then started cheering. No one expected it. And because it was hard to see with all those bloody pillars in the way! Wasn't sure it had gone in at first.

Johnson looks a bit porky!

Well Colo, Jonas and Jose have always been chums. I think I can let the french lads off for now, seeing as HBA and Cabaye don't even speak English. John Carver will be in with his riot sheild and baton to seperate them soon enough, don't worry.
-
True forgot about that, maybe Carroll's wages cover Tiote's contract though I've been told by a well-known national football journalist that the first two years of Tiotes new contract will be funded by the money received for Carroll. Good guesswork from said national journo. What's your point?
-
Someone also said on there they have no doubt in a few years Gyan will be one of the best strikers in the world. For the record, I think he's a quality player, but that is just ridiculous.
-
Saw Brum home and away last season. Larsson and Gardner were terrible at St.Andrews and Larsson was equally as bad at SJP. Totally bossed out of the game by our midfield, which has clearly improved, bring on the derby.
-
That's like saying Shirley from Eastenders is much better looking than Pat Butcher. Hardly much of an upgrade like.
-
I thought Williamson was still injured? I also thought Marveaux was out for ages because of a groin op?
-
No pressure lads!

If I remember correctly Dave, for some reason they had something ridiculous like a 4 on 2 counter in the last minute? Wickham's goal was pretty decent I seem to remember as well, Leazes end and drilled it into the bottom corner after getting past Colo and ANother. Our whole team was just going through the motions that day though, the stats off that BBC report prove that.
-
Aye. He raped us. Oops, sorry was supposed to quote taxfree's post about him raping us, as apart from the goal I can't remember him doing too much. Although no player that day did much, typical end of season match where nobody seemed to be trying. If that was our back 4 getting raped by a striker, I'd hate to know what Van Persie did to them in the 4 all.
-
In the 4 seasons he's been a regular Ligue 1 striker he's got 45 in 130. 1 goal in 3 striker. I stand corrected Was reading a report earlier that Erding has more like 1 every 2.5 games, stats seem to vary though. 58 in 130 odd for Sochaux and PSG, two aulity finishes vs Arles, on his weaker foot as well! http://frenchfootballweekly.wordpress.com/2011/06/22/the-forgotten-hit-man-mevlut-erding/

Our players had the cigars out and the flip flops on that day. Don't remember him being 'absolutely bullied' either. Although Wickham took his goal well mind.
