They're a strange bunch. My brother is a Liverpool fan (and my mum is sunderland, what a family) and even though he was born in newcastle and lived down south for most of his life he still has the same attitude. He joins in the self pity and grandiose delusions and everything so it can't be a scouse thing, just that club. I'm torn a bit at the moment but I think i'd rather see us get europa league. It would be great to get into the champions league for the money and prestige and big european games but realistically we've got no chance of winning it. Europa on the other hand i'd fancy us to go pretty far and actually have a chance of picking up a trophy. Not sure what the current rules are about CL teams dropping into the EL when they get knoocked out but if we've got a good chance of getting into the EL anyway when we get knocked out of the CL then i'd probably prefer CL.

It'll be worse when the actual figures come out. We should get about £5m more in prize money than them plus all the extra money from being on TV much more often. We could end up £10m better off than them which will make their heads explode.
