I'm torn a bit at the moment but I think i'd rather see us get europa league. It would be great to get into the champions league for the money and prestige and big european games but realistically we've got no chance of winning it. Europa on the other hand i'd fancy us to go pretty far and actually have a chance of picking up a trophy. Not sure what the current rules are about CL teams dropping into the EL when they get knoocked out but if we've got a good chance of getting into the EL anyway when we get knocked out of the CL then i'd probably prefer CL.

It'll be worse when the actual figures come out. We should get about £5m more in prize money than them plus all the extra money from being on TV much more often. We could end up £10m better off than them which will make their heads explode.

Thoughts? I don't see how those two quotes are related.

If it is, the posts aren't vertical. not to mention that they are comparing the portion of the line half-way between 6 and 18 yard boxes to the position of the ball. is the ball going out for a goal kick then? Yep, that's a good point, drop a line down from the edge of the ball to where the line is and it's not over.

That's similar to what i just did except I used photofiltre and zoomed it right in. Traced the post down and the line.

I don't know if that Carroll header might not have been over the line. I've got a screen grab of it and the goal frame isn't straight, you can't judge on that. If you trace the line down the ball does seem to possibly be just over.
