Alan Shitjew is still my favourite. Manages to poke fun at a perceived lack of quality and be anti-Semitic towards someone who is not of Jewish heritage all at the same time. Tbf if he's not Jewish he would be a pretty shit jew.
  3. I was looking at Celtic, if it's a draw at half time i'd fancy them.
  4. AC fucking Milan. Should have checked the lineups before placing, I thought the odds were a bit good. Pretty much got my stake back from PSG and Real though. Crewe let me down conceding a 92nd minute goal and Lincoln getting beat at home to Woking meaning after an entire day gambling I came out with a whopping 36p loss. After about 8 hours on betfair i'm pretty much exactly where I started What's the thoughts on tonights CL games? Shitty lineups all round again?
  5. PSG still look very capable of chucking this away.
  6. PSG 2-1, Porto keeper wants shooting, let one squirm in under him at the near post from a tight angle
  7. Balls, Porto equalised, hope Ibra can come up with the good tonight.
  8. £2 trixie, AC, PSG, Real, returns £29
  9. Nobody on here has ever been a professional athlete. Think of the top players, how many of them do you see like that? Henry? Shearer? Messi? Cronaldo? Van Persie? Even Rooney and Ronaldinho who are both a little bit naughty don't seem to get themselves into that state. If I had a career that was going to last 15 years max and relied on me being physically fit you wouldn't catch me doing that s***, especially not in the middle of a season. edit to add: If it was the first time it'd probably be funny but we've seen this over and over from him. He's just throwing his career away.
  10. Look at the state of him. Really wasting his talent at the moment, hope he can sort himself out.
  11. You sound disappointed you don't get hit in the face by the ball every other week
  12. All work and no play makes Jack Flash a 4-2-3-1. I've said yesterday keeping it on the floor and not in the air is the biggest change. And that was accomplished how? By throwing it to a defender? It's interesting to see how Krul did that and we then subsequently passed it round more than usual and didn't immediately concede pressure. Probably just the formation though. No, you're absolutely right. It's a huge coincidence that we've played better football after changing formation. That and Krul rolling it out. Amazing, someone should tell all these managers that they're wasting their time on the training pitch, they just need to get their keeper to throw it out.
  13. Keegan's a strange example. Not even sure what you're getting at with that one. Same with Jol. Keegan did well when given resources where others had failed (NUFC, Fulham). Jol came from a smaller, poorer team and did a good job when given resources. The point is you can trot out lists of managers who haven't succeeded when they've stepped up and you can trot out a list of managers who have succeeded. Just because Hodgson or A.N.Other failed to make the step up doesn't mean that everyone will.

  15. Aye, that's a stupid argument to make. For every manager that failed when trading up you can find another that succeeded. Completely unrelated, imho. Exactly my point mate
  16. That would be Champions League and FA cup winner Di Matteo? It's just silly, some managers make the step up because they're good enough, some don't.
  17. Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Kevin Keegan, Martin Jol
  18. That's not a tactic then? You might have something to say if we'd stayed 4-4-2 in the last two games and seen an improvement. As it is we've gone 4-3-3 and seen an emphasis on passing and moving because its more achievable in that formation with these players. Don't be silly. It's obviously a complete coincidence that the change of formation has seen an improvement in our movement and passing.
  19. It's howay you silly bint. Sort her out Danny ffs.

    Alan Pardew

I came away from the match happy for the first time in the league this season. I'm a bit p*ssed off that it's taken 15 games to put on a performance but we can't go back in time and change anything so might as well enjoy it. Yep, let's look forward instead of back. I've been very critical of Pardew this season and am still not convinced he's the man to take us forward but the fact he finally abandoned that abortion of a system we were playing is a good sign. I just hope he's starting to learn the lessons he should have learnt 10 games ago and we can push on from here. We won't be able to judge anything from the Bordeaux game as it's going to be the under 11s playing at this rate but our next PL game should give an idea whether he's really turned a corner or not.
