Great through ball from Scholes there.

Flashbacks Drawing any of the French teams would be brilliant considering the makeup of our squad and our better profile over there.

Is Abeid a DM? he could be worth a start if Colo is out.

f*** me is this for real? You're actually comparing the two clubs in that way? New forum trend: Swansea are s***, Barca are good. And to think most of us would have been happy with a point before the match started. No, don't get me wrong, i'm not comparing them as teams, just the style of passing game they play and Barca were naturally the first ones that popped into my head. They both play a passing style of football but Swansea's passing seems to be more focused on keeping the ball away from the opposition than penetrating and scoring. You could compare them to many teams who play a passing game but a different kind of passing game. Maybe a comparison between the Arsenal invincibles and the Arsenal side of recent years might serve better. The invincibles played some lovely pass and move football but the passing had a penetrative purpose whereas in more recent times Arsenal have seemed to be passing it for the sake of it. Again, it's not a great comparison but I hope it illustrates the point a little.

The difference between a team like swansea and a team like barca is that the barca passing has a purpose. They're probing and using the movement of both the ball and their own players to pull the other team around and create spaces to run into for the killer pass. Swansea on the other hand just seem to pass it for the sake of passing it, there was very little purpose in a lot of their passes except maybe to bump up their stats. What exactly is the point of one CB passing 10 yards to the other and then him passing it back straight away when there's no opposition player anywhere near them?

I'm just too easy-going. Giving him the benefit of the doubt. He's a mackem, it won't be the first benefit he's been given

If the mackems can get anything from Spurs tomorrow it could be on

Santon's had a good game too I think. Looked quite assured on the ball and better defensively.

For what? Scoring two superb goals? Saying we didnt come to play football, very negative tactics, he's very disappointed with our park the bus tactics. Talksport are just wumming as per. Gough and Durham are actually on our side, saying Pardew out-thought him tactically and we've come and done a job. Wonder if Hughes is a Swan, he seems very bitter.

Ok, they've blamed almost everyone except tomato sucking a lemon face, at some point they must realise the problem, right?

Can't even hit the target when he's aiming for the goalkeeper's arm.

Lovely, should have a nice rtg meltdown to keep us entertained tonight

100% true. He is way too small to be a CB, would be killed in the air just like he was earlier in the season. Williamson IS the only option right now. is he not actually taller than Colocinni???? No. Looked it up he's only 4 centimetres smaller than Colo or an inch and a half in old money. Perch is 6 feet tall, Jamie Carragher for example is 5 foot 11 Perch is 5ft 11. BBC Says he's 1.8M which is 180cm. A 30 cm ruler is 1 foot so therefore 6 x 30cm = 6 feet. 6ft =/= 180cm. 1 foot is equal to approximately 29.2cm. A 0.8cm may not seem like much but then it adds up. 5'11 is correct. If he's 5' 11'' then using 29.2cm per foot it makes him 172.8cm, not 180cm. 180cm is over 6 foot using 29.2cm per foot. edit: Right, sorted. Google reckons there's 30.48cm in a foot which makes everything add up

I always kind of think that the penalty thing might be the ref trying not to seem like a 'homer' at SJP. edit: except Phil Dowd, he seems to like us

It's good if we can start getting a reputation around europe as a decent club for young, promising players to move to. Fair enough, we might not keep them for too long but we'll get a few good seasons out of them, keep us ticking over financially and hopefully allow us to progress and push on.

I'm not gonna judge the lad for doing some stupid things, it's what young men do and i'm pretty sure we we've all done a few things we regret in the bloom of youth. In terms of his future as a footballer, he just doesn't have one at this club. You can only forgive so much and it's clear that his attitude isn't right here. Maybe at a new club he'll sort himself out and I wish him luck but this isn't the club for him.

That looks like it should be found on a bar between the Guiness and Carling taps. My first thought was Ann Summers.
