Pretty incisive stuff from the Belgians I would say. Chickentown increasingly is a suburb of the regional capital, and will remain so until that one-horse burg's council gets it's act together. It's only misplaced civic pride from the mackems that stops them admitting it.

Quite frankly if any player is given the choice between a PL club or a Bundesliga club and he chooses the later then fair play. I wish I had the same choice as a fan tbh.

Ptth, as if Whelans bunch of knackers will get back up to the premie.....oh, right. See you soon James.

Cant remember his name, but he had a Peep Show avatar IIRC. Under his mag disguise he spouted several RTG bingo card bullshitisms ('barcelona of the north, 59000 screaming jawdees etc), got found out and threw in the towel almost immediately. Wireside's meltdown was on another level entirely in the hilarity stakes though. Apropos of nothing, if anyone is in even the slightest doubt how much we inhabit their world...the RTG official matchday thread from the last derby is STILL on the first page!

I had to withstand a lass at work from Houghton (lovely personality, bonny face, could drop a stone or two etc) describe benito di canio as a 'superhero'. It must've lasted nine syllables by the time she'd spat it out.
-
I look forward to him making no impact whatsoever and being moved on in a year or two. At which point we all jump around like excited apes flinging our own online filth at each other and calling the scout's son a 'big toothed TV puff'. Bent-jam-it-in Man-deep more like. etc. FTM. 3-0-9-1

Fine state of affairs when Rihanna is acting as the headteacher to the unruly mob of mackem imbeciles. Also, great picture on Twitter of sunderlands finest ladies having a collective p*ss in one of the sol urinals.....'Classy'

Nice, and Im watching Cheers on ITV4 right now...coincidence? (answer: yes) For what its worth, no-one I know drank there. I went there once and am certainly not in the slightest bit arsed. But according to the media, we're suicidal at the loss of the famous, historic, iconic 'Shearer's'. Actual reaction? Meh.

To every comedian on social network sites right now, here's a good one......If you think Cabaye will be annoyed about being called Yohan Kebab, just imagine how his wife Donna feels! The other stories man! "Funfair Booze bid", "Doylem plays golf on high-voltage railway track', 'Extra cash for the booze bus'. One advert - 'TP Bradbury Funeral Directors'. Life in Sunderland.

He's a nazi salute away from being the worst possible appointment ever. Not that any high-profile PL manager would've done that.....

Which one of you is Simon Bird?

So Yohan, what made you want to play in front of 11,000 disinterested fans in a Russian-billionaire owned tax haven? -

As poorly as he has played for a hefty proportion of the season, he's still a class player....his non-performances in 2012/13 could be down to a few things: Pardew, team stagnation, mental ill-health, whatever....but it would be such a shame to know we could have seen the best of him in a B+W shirt. But like others, I cant wait to see how the millions will be spent strengthening the squad* (*absorbed into the debt) -

Robbin' Bairns? French nonce tbh, non credible. -
Mate of mine works in Doxford Park and apparently they've been (trying to) give away free tickets for Bon Jovi all day as ticket sales have been so poor... bit of a pisser for them who paid full whack for theirs mind. Though to be fair..... Bon Jovi? Is it 1992 again? I hope the promoters don't pull the pink piggery from their tour circuits, Newcastle hotels must do well once both sunderland's hotels are full.

Looks like its not just football where we're both seemingly in a race to the bottom if these depressing statistics are anything to go by: GERRIN! NORTH-EAST TOP DEAD DOGS!! http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/health/sunderland-among-worse-cities-in-early-death-league-table-1-5755053

Appropriate full name tbh. FTM, 3-0, best day of me life, 9-1, spare chromosome for sale marras........

This is going to have a crippling effect on their much-loved combined elevenses.....

Possibly, but then they got their collective arse handed to them by Villa, and served up turgid unwatchable displays in 'must win' games for the rest of the season, yet support for him only got stronger. Also they were just as rabid in their support before he'd even started (the whole fascist salute, durham miners fiasco). I just think its a deep-seated desire for attention from the rest of the country, and Benito brought that in spades (all negative, but they don't seem to mind!)

And as sure as night follows day: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=785178 The speed at which Benito DiCanio has the red and white hordes massing behind him is frightening. Only 7 games in and they're frothing at the gash at any criticism of il Duce. It's almost as if a charismatic father figure has infiltrated the vulnerable minds of a downtrodden populace and trained their brains to mindlessly follow him en masse, blindly hating those who oppose his dictat. I'm sure there's a word (and a salute) for that...

Oh yeah, I vaguely remember Hamilton Ricard EDIT: Oh yeah, I vaguely remember BT Cellnet EDIT: Oh yeah, I vaguely remember Middlesbrough

Looks like horse-featured mackem scribe Louise Taylor has found a new place to lodge her muzzle.... she must have finally dislodged it from Roy Keane's ring. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/31/paolo-di-canio-sunderland-overhaul Can someone explain the big deal about that hotel? Thats about the tenth time I've heard it being mentioned by various mackems, I know theres next to f**k-all down there but they seem inordinately proud of it!
