Josleu’s penalty miss v Burnley at home felt like a big one too. We were the better side all game, he missed a pen and they scored a late equaliser. It was like a everyone in the ground new he was going to miss before he took it too, it was a weird.

Came to post this as well and I know it gets brought up semi often but I knew at that very moment we were in deep trouble and we wouldn’t get out of it.

I can see why he took it but I was hoping he’d stay and see what he could achieve with Brighton given their fantastic start. Although I guess it’s better for us he didn’t.

100% agree with this. It’ll be someone relatively under the radar that fits perfectly into their style and ethos of the club. They’re ridiculously well run.

Potter’s possession and build-up style play is polar opposite to Bielsa’s high intensity, high pressing, countering style. I don’t think it would be an easy transition given they’ve just really found their feet with Potter’s style over the last 12 months.

One of the topics a lot of these pundits seem to be missing when talking about how awful VAR is and it needs to be abolished is going back without it would be absolutely horrendous as we’d still have a really low standard of officiating yet zero chance to fix any of the poor decisions. Until something is done about the widespread poor standard of refs this will just keep happening regardless of technology.

I’m much less confident without either ASM or Bruno back but hopefully we’ll have enough to get a win. Big performances needed from Fraser and Almiron to provide something for Isak.

I missed the Gilmour to Brighton transfer but that seems like a fantastic bit of business given Potter’s style of play.

The few times I’ve seen them they’ve played some really good stuff and been unlucky in games. Zaha has been incredible too.

Palace have been really really good this season so im not expecting this to be easy at all given our injuries. Hopefully we’ve got enough to sneak a win. If ASM and Bruno are out I’d start Anderson over Longstaff so we’ve got someone else on the pitch trying to force the issue.

Went for a 9. Adding players like Pope, Botman and Isak a long side Targett leaves us in a far stronger position than we ended the season in. I really wanted a rw upgrade to give teams something else to think about other than ASM but no one can argue we’re not moving in the right direction as a club and it’s fantastic to witness. I wasn’t too bothered about adding another cm because I think both Willock and Longstaff can improve a lot despite the laters flaws. It also means Anderson might get some valuable game time.

I really wanted a decent RW option on loan. Someone along the lines of Pulisic, Moura, CHO etc but it looks like nothing is happening.

Good luck to him and I hope he gets some decent minutes to show what he’s capable of. I don’t think I ever felt such an upgrade in goalkeeping when he came in that season - the quality difference felt massive at the time as it was something we didn’t have.

Barely been interested in this final day given our seemingly lack of activity and then there’s Ando in here dropping a tease in. If absolutely nothing happens you better give us some names we tried tomorrow

Hope the Moura rumours are true. He’d walk straight into the RW position and be an upgrade.

It seems the word being put out today to journalists is a more downbeat one compared to yesterday. I’m still hopeful for a half decent loan addition. Pulisic. Make it happen.

Properly sick of Edwards now and I’ve been one of his longer term defenders. Yesterday he was banging on about how our business was pretty much done and we’d only be looking at loans now he’s claiming to have info on bids we’ve made to sign players. His constant negative twist on every possible scenario is really transparent now. I actually think he’s a decent journalist but he’s too far down the rabbit hole of being a prick in retaliation to the heat he got over the takeover and Bruce stuff.

I really wanted Pulisic or Pedro and it looks like we’ll get neither which is a bit of a shame.
