It’s happening this one like and I’m all for it.
-
Maupay seems like a proper Everton type signing.
-
Pulisic would be a massive statement signing late in the window in my opinion. It would be nice to close the window and a feel good signing like that. CHO could be great but there’s still doubts about him. If Pulisic signs he instantly goes into the first team and makes us better.

Thought the same earlier. I can’t get my head around it.

Oh of course but it terms of current ownership and plans for each club I’d rather be in our situation. They seem very much like a club that could take years to fix from top to bottom.
-
With growing up watching Man U dominate throughout almost my entire childhood I’ve subconsciously always thought of them as this massive club that’ll turn it around. Yesterday was kind of a penny drop moment realising they’re actually done at the elite level now. They’re miles off City and Liverpool and it could take years to fix.

To the surprise of absolutely no one Brighton are a really good side under Potter.
-
Why would Benfica sell if they’ve just sold Nunez?
-
Sarr is one we’ll regret not going for I think. Out of the available wingers in our price range he seemed the one ticked a lot of our boxes. I think Leeds will do well this season.
-
£25m for him is a steal.

Assuming we don’t have any more long term injuries I think we’ll be fine with Joelinton, Bruno, Willock and Longstaff and Anderson as cover. I can’t see us going for anyone else on the back of that. I was wondering whether it’ll have a knock on effect for Shelvey though? He only has to play a couple more games for an automatic new contract. I wonder if the club will try and offload him in January given his high wages and that he’s coming to the end of his career.

Think I mentioned earlier in the thread that I had a bit of a soft spot for Pepe after watching a lot of French football at the time he was doing well. He’s flopped so far but under the right system I think he could come good assuming the price is cheap. Him and ASM in the same team could be really entertaining… or disastrous.

Any of those names would be mint if it were at all possible.

Always felt Depay is a bit shite. I just don’t see how he fits into our pressing type game. He looks like a West Ham or Everton signing if there ever was one.

Came to post this too. Well worth a read
-
Not sure about him and Tarkowski at the back
-
Not that I think he could have done much about it but Henderson got nowhere near it at all. Further confirming a few peoples opinion on here that he’s over rated. Schar is one of my favourite players though. Criminally underrated by Bruce and offers so much as well as being a top level defender. Pound for pound he has to be one of the best buys we’ve made in years.

Would love CHO here and I think his direct style would work well in Howe’s system. Him and Almiron in that RW position is potentially really strong if Miggy keeps up his form too. This is also a proper brexity PFM opinion (stole this from someone on here) but I’m loving us targeting young, English players with Premier League experience. I grew up watching Newcastle players in the England setup and I’d love it if there was a realistic chance we had some regular English starters.
-
Would have gone for Dubravka and Botman over Pope and Burn but otherwise that’s our strongest possible lineup. We actually have options now it’s mental. Hope we really kick off this season with a bang.
-
As long as there isn’t even the slightest hint of a relegation battle or that we could be pulled into a relegation battle then I’ll be happy. We’ve had two transfer windows and even if the second one ends today we’ve improved as a squad from the last one. That’s all I can ask for. I just want to enjoy supporting us again and watch us improve every year regardless of how gradual that is.
-
2-0 win today Wilson to get both. I’m desperate for us to get off to a good start this season.
-
What happened with Soumare? He was one of the players we put a massive bid in for a couple of years ago but he turned us down. Is he just rubbish? Seems to have completely flopped.
-
Pretty much all of this. They’re a fantastically well ran club and have done it the hard way.
