  1. Not sure how anyone could actually take that seriously
  2. Don't want to be accused of bedwetting by the forum police but that's a guaranteed 15 points for the mancs imo
  3. That £25M may well be the "base" amount with extra payable for champions league. Assuming Spurs £40m includes CL and the £25m doesn't, then if we qualify we likely won't be too far apart.
  4. Murphy would have ripped the back of the net out there
  5. Or the first product from our new strategic model of cloning players to increase transfer revenue.
  6. Suarez was banned for 8 games for the Evra incident wasn't he? Not sure the punishment should be comparable personally but different scenarios so Either way really needs stamping out. No point giving Mitro the 8 games and still letting players surround the ref. Use it as a springboard.
  7. Man U fan at work was going on about the dressing room photo until I pointed out we do it after every game. Whatever makes them feel better

  9. Yeah, Joe waiting outside for them is great. Gets a lot of love from Botman and then Bruno is crazy https://www.instagram.com/reel/CptOHISg-DQ/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Quite like the SAFC social media take https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMYm73PTS/
  11. You only fail if you try and I'm not convinced the club were willing to deviate from their long term strategy/plans just to secure 4th this season. Letting 2 players leave without replacements as it was too good an opportunity to miss - forest desperate and no guarantee of summer exits for them otherwise - shows they're willing to sacrifice in the short term to benefit the long. Fans have a right to be disappointed I guess, but that's not really the clubs priority.

"Heh heh, I'll call myself ponybeaters and the fools won't suspect a thing"
  13. I'd much rather consistent top 4 than a one off season. Paying over the top in January on whoever was available for short term success doesn't appear to have been part of their long term strategy.
  14. I do think PIF are happy to play the long game - we would likely have overpaid in January for available players that weren't part of our future plans. It's a long term project and whilst top 4 next year would have been great, I don't think we'll be properly equipped for sustained European and domestic campaigns for another couple of seasons. Bringing forward additional spend to be spread over a c.5 year period on the basis of increased revenue from one season has it's own risk. If we miss out the season after, then revenue drops back down and we'd risk falling foul of FFP. Not that I care about any of that mind you, I want champs league next year Would still be happy with 6th though and this season has been fucking awesome so far
  15. Aww shit, such sad news. RIP Christian
  16. Chelsea will push for Palace surely if they want any chance of top 4.
  17. We need someone to just ping it top corner from outside of the box
  18. It did say "for example" so literally isn't quite right ....

IMO.. Speeding 50 in a residential 30mph, or 150 on the motorway is worse than driving at marginally over the legal drink limit at the correct speeds on empty roads. Driving 3 times the legal drink limit is worse than 75mph on motorway or 33 in a residential area. There is a sliding scale and its pointless making generalisations to be honest. Alcohol is lethal because it affects your reactions. Excessive speeding is lethal as stopping distances etc are affected regardless of your reaction times. Disclaimer: I do neither of the extremes and actually don't drive having any drink personally. I speed but not what I'd term excessively or in stupid places and I'm not condoning anyone etc etc etc
  20. It's really not one or the other anymore. If we need a 1st teamer and a January deal is acceptable, then they'll do it. Likewise, they'll be looking to buy young prospects for positions we don't have a current urgent need for that might take a bench role. FFP does limit and if we use Botman as an example, at the moment we don't need someone to compete with him but we need an improvement over current bench options. Do we spend c. 40m on that person or 20m on a prospect who's not quite there but has that potential. I doubt there's any club (Man City aside) that has a bench if 1st-team "ready" players.

Apparently blew a 43. 35 is the legal limit but they only charge you at 40. Think they say 4 units (2 pints or so) takes you to the limit.
  22. On his position... Isak said: "I am a centre-forward. That is my position and where I am best. Then I think I have quite a wide game, so could do other things as well, so that is not for me to decide."
  23. I thought both chances weren't totally clear cut, though interestingly... "Alexander Isak admits that his lack of sharpness after being sidelined since September played a part in his two big FA Cup chances against the Owls. When asked about building back up to full fitness and getting sharp again, Isak told ChronicleLive: "I think the sharpness will help. These are chances I'd usually score (at Sheff Wed)." Love his confidence to be honest
  24. My main takeaways.... When Murphy got one-on-one with the defender and dithered until he got dispossessed Obviously the Wood miss. Don't understand how he's so calm on penalties but folded here. Telling that Windass' finish was tougher and under a lot more pressure but made it look easy. Anderson was disappointing. Appreciate it's harder to shine without some of the talent he usually plays with but still... Isak showed some good stuff - you could tell he was rusty but still very excited to see him back and you can tell he has intelligence and confidence.
