They have never been proven of any wrongdoing of anything legally so the PL are - on legal grounds - unable to block on this, even if there is an understandable concern around the morals. It made no difference when Shinawatra, Abu Dhabi bought City, so why would it now.

Question to anyone that is slightly educated in this - I was reading the F365 article around Samuel's article and Ashley whinging he hasn't got enough money and the end alludes to Ashley potentially asking for another £40m once everything has been done and dusted with the PL and it is all agreed... is this even feasible? By my understanding the agreed price is the agreed price and surely the documentation on companies house is evidence enough and cannot be backed-out on (only if the buyers weren't able to stump up the cash). Can anyone shed any light?

As far as I'm concerned the key objective for us is a fanbase is to get a cancerous owner out of our club and have someone(s) who are willing to invest in the club and the city as a whole. Almost everyone who has the amount of money to buy a football club has questionable ethics, hence why they actually have that much money in the first place. Who it is, what they do is not our concern as a fanbase, we cannot change it. We can only be happy that we are fortunate enough that we are going to be the ones to benefit from the financial injection that is likely to happen for the region as a result of all this. It could just as easily have been anyone else.

I actually worry that even if the Arab's stumped up the cash he'd sell to someone like Kenyon for £50m or so less with said clauses and whatnot attached. That way he can continue to reap some benefits and most of all, when it doesn't go well he can have his pals at Sky pitching "the grass isn't always greener" patter. He's that petty he'd do it just to fuck us.
