They've average players being made to look worse by not giving a shit. Man for man we probably have a better lineup than Leicester but they're a team and we're a shambles.

Average manager with average players doing a below average job. He's a symptom not the problem.
  3. Tom Lees (centre half) from Sheff Wed for 7 million in a couple of the rags this morning.
  4. Palace next game is the mackems at home, there's a match to stir up some mixed emotions.
  5. Howe is running his players into the ground and it'll cost them in the long run. Distance (km) covered by Premier League clubs per game this season 20. Aston Villa - 104.78 19. Everton - 105.77 18. Norwich - 106.62 17. Stoke - 107.11 16. Swansea - 107.74 15. Sunderland - 107.93 14. Arsenal - 108.03 13. Chelsea - 108.5 12. Liverpool - 108.76 11. Manchester City - 109.3 10. Crystal Palace - 109.49 9. Southampton - 109.86 8. Leicester - 110.43 7. Watford - 111.18 6. Newcastle - 111.58 5. West Ham - 112.83 4. Manchester United - 113.4 3. West Brom - 113.44 2. Tottenham - 115.63 1. Bournemouth 118.28 The difference was enormous between the sides yesterday. They even have 2 players in the top 3 who cover the most ground in the PL .Surman and Ritchie seemed to be everywhere . Villa. Casually wandering their way to relegation.

Allardyce taking these lot down would be such a fabulously beautiful moment I don't think it will be allowed to happen.
  8. Really poor today, just can't see where he fits in. As a defensive CM he's worse than Tiote and attacking wise he's worse than Colback, who at least scores or assists occasionally.

    Florian Thauvin

Didn't do anything spectacular but at least he knows how to play as a winger, no coincidence our left flank looked a lot more secure when he came on.

    Paul Dummett

He struggled today, but got very little protection from those in front of him, at least until Thauvin came on and actually seemed to understand the defensive responsibilities of a winger.
  11. Glenn Murray not even on the bench for them - didn't think he was injured?
  12. Agree he doesn't look good but at the same time he's had about an hour of football after a year out with a terrible medical problem, think there's certainly room to hope that this isn't as good as he gets. Anyone remember how turboshit Demba Ba was in his first few games for us, barely looked like a footballer and look what happened there.
  13. I think getting a top winger would probably free Wijnaldum to play centrally. Centre back is the clear priority though.
  14. I would be tempted to start Wijnaldum in the middle with Tiote and give Thauvin a start out wide, the lad isn't going to get used to the Premier League without playing in it.
  15. I reckon he gets his turn when the King has finished with them.

Aye, I think the point he was trying to make was they should have shut up shop and protected the draw. Not good if they're ignoring him already!
  17. Are you suggesting some sort of vampiric ability transfer is going on here?

James Hunter ‏@JHunterChron Big Sam: At 2-2 if players decide to go and do what they want, it doesn't matter what system you play. #SAFC
  19. Since Callum Wilson got injured they have 1 draw and 5 defeats and have conceded 16 goals, this is a team absolutely there for the taking. 1-1 draw.
  20. It's mental that even after such a horrific start we're only 1 win from getting out of the bottom 3 - feels like we should be further adrift.
  21. There is plenty of free street parking on a weekend if you know where to look, but if you want a proper secure place the Times Square multi storey at the Centre for Life is 3.60 for all day on a Saturday.
  22. Will be very interesting to see how Garde gets on at Villa. If he walks in and nails it then Charnley et al are going to look even more ridiculous.
  23. What. The. f***. 10 is third from the right standing up with blonde hair, I suspect we're talking about the same lass and you've counted back row first then the bottom two are 12 & 13 or whatever. Standing row third from the right has the best face, though three might be OK it's harder to tell with her. So... 8? That is an acceptable opinion. So there's some doubt re who this "10" is, OK, because if extreme right back row is potential no. 10 then I'd rather shag Ayoze (ish). She's actually my least favourite, no.13 on the 'To Do' list (behind 3a Hi-Vis Lady). That said, I had an unusual (amongst pool of friends) Spice Girl shag list: Scary, Ginger, Baby, Sporty, Posh. So maybe I have unusual taste. That's probably about right tbf.

Same. Better than nowt. it's absolute fucking nonsense tbf, have you ever heard of another professional football club apologising to it's fans for losing with regularity? i can't even remember another team issuing a public apology in writing to its fans for anything at all I think the fan emails are part of an attempt to improve communication, which is something all of us have complained about in the past with this regime. Obviously at the moment they're including apologies as we keep getting beat but hopefully we'll see some more upbeat versions when there's actually something positive to report!
