Got to give him some credit, in the WBA game he got one chance to put a cross in and it was a fucking beauty. And his shift against Man City was a fucking gem. Definitely glad to have him back. Is he a starter for us in a perfect world, maybe not, but is he a fucking useful player on our quite-less-than-perfect team? You better fucking believe it. And it never hurts to have a dead-ball specialist on the pitch. Would like to see him taking corners whenever possible as well, even though I am not sure whether he is any good at them or not

Thought he's looked quite good at center back. Certainly prefer him to Williamson. He was big for us against wba, two or three key blocks, good in the air, an all around capable performance imo.

I love Aarons but I'm not 100% convinced he's ready to be an every day starter in the premier league quite yet. Shitloads of potential sure, but I'd love to see what Ayoze could do with proper service from a top quality winger. (Yes obviously we won't get one, but a man can dream.) Not saying Aarons shouldn't get games and starts, I'm just not quite ready to bet the house on him yet. Sammy on the other hand, I am losing patience with. He was okaaaay today but for the most part when he gets the ball, unless he lays it off immediately, my first thought is that he's going to lose it. I'm actually excited for this one. Of course I share everyone's concern that we will play down to WBA's level and end up losing or drawing. I even had a dream that we lost 2-1. Still, when I first saw the fixture my immediate thought was "we're fucking winning this one" so I am going to stick with that! Of course if I wake up early to watch it that will guarantee the loss.

Wow, what can I say? Somehow the 6 full-back system worked out Really though some great performances from a lot of players that I didn't expect much from. Obertan - was great on the ball, should have won a penalty in the second half and seemed like a capable player throughout. Color me surprised. Dummet - Had an excellent game at center-half, some massive moments for him and looked competent throughout. What the hell? Colo - Actually played football today. Might be the most surprising of the lot. Raylor - What the fuck? First game back, played the full ninety minutes, out of position the first half, created a goal and saved one, hell of a performance. Never would have expected that. I've always rated Moussa so that didn't surprise me and Aarons was awesome as well hopefully we'll see more of him in the next few weeks. Overall I'm ecstatic! Pardew's not going anywhere if we don't get relegated and I am sick of this depressive root-for-a-loss bullshit that has flooded this forum for the last few months. If you can't get behind a win like this you might as well stop watching. Bring on the weekend!

Man I am on comcast and their coverage has been fucking AWFUL. The on-demand games lives often aren't available, and NONE of them are available archived on demand. Then you go on the nbcsports website to watch an archived game and on the screen where you pick which game you want they show all the scores!! It's a million 's all at once.
