  1. He'd have much more room to play passes playing in CM rather than just behind the striker. Shelvey would be much less effective as an attacking midfielder because there's much less space to play in Will also need a wider range of passing, which I can see going down well...
  2. Think he should be restricted to sub appearances until he sorts his shit out. Still don't see how putting him in at CM will be a good idea, hes been nothing but sloppy so far this season, misplacing passes and running into trouble, we don't need that in midfield. Just let Colback potter on while Hayden does all the work if Shelvey isn't playing.
  3. Made one good interception in the whole game, and when he wasn't hiding he was making simple passes and even managing to put a couple of those out of play, gets absolutely done every time, isn't very good in the tackle and it basically a waste of a shirt, its not really an issue though because of the league we're in, its just a shame he is getting games after years of ineptitude is all.
  4. Was heavily involved in 2 of the 4 goals they scored too.
  5. Imagine if he sells us to someone even worse and it turns out we actually should have been "careful what we wished for" Would just be fucking typical.
  6. I was at the game and from what I could tell everyone did get behind Diame, it wasn't and isn't the fans fault hes absolutely pony.
  7. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/true-geordie-still-a-mag.1286845/ it never ends!
  8. Massive thing with Rafa is "control" which is why he is portrayed as a negative manager, thing is he has the tactical acumen to back this up, though I do think he could learn to go for it a bit more without going too over the top, but would much rather have solid foundations in place for us to go into games with a clear plan control the game and win rather than the Keeganesque tactics of "going for it" it's not sustainable these days.
  9. If that's true is it a bit odd that nobody else was interested in him?
  10. 10 day wait then I'm at work when the actual game is on
  11. We don't, though. And he doesn't. The 3 games we've lost this season Gouffran wasn't playing. And he often singles him out for praise, not the only one but he definitely seems to like him. Unbelievable how often some people don't read between the lines. "Here, senor, Gouffran is shit, I've been telling everyone in the media for the last few months, but please do take him off my hands for a few million more than he's worth. Please." He did the same with Sissoko, praising his work ethic in training ffs. Obviously nobody outside the clerb really knows how well he did on a day to day basis, but I bet his work ethic wasn't anything special when compared to rest of the squad. Rafa isn't Pardew or Carver and I don't think we'll ever see him throwing someone under a bus. Ok then, so he plays him a lot and is the kind of player Rafa prefers, grafts, defensive etc.... Jumped on for the most little of things, the point was simply that in my opinion Rafa wont drop Gouffran for Atsu, knowing what kind of manager he is and how well he has done this season.
  12. That was before he started playing him though, since giving him a chance hes been nothing but complimentary about how well hes played. Yes we got that draw against Villa with him in the side, thanks for pointing out my mistake though, where would I be without you.

  14. Kind of dont want him called up, don't want premier league twats looking at him, think he will develop into a top player.
  15. I love the idea of having Atsu and Ritchie on either side but I don't think Rafa will go for it, we have a 100% win record with Gouffran in the side and he always speaks very highly of him. Might be worth trying Atsu or Ritchie in the hole behind Gayle though considering he definitely wont go 4-4-2. Anything to get Diame out of the starting lineup.
  16. He also plays Colback regularly, hes not perfect.
  17. It's not not funny though . :'( 1 point man.
  18. Grim isn't it, it just never goes to plan I'm waiting on Sanchez to do something, but Burnley will probably end up battering them.
  19. If you don't rate him thats obviously fair enough, but from my side I saw him come into the team, pull off cracking saves, have decent distribution and generally perform excellently and win player of the season (not that there were many candidates admittedly) but the pre conceived notions about him on here mean everyone has jumped on the bandwagon of thinking hes shit. All it takes on here is one popular poster to voice a strong opinion and the rest fall in line sometimes.
  20. This can fuck off. Man Utd are fucking shit.
