Ok I'll bite. Big money signings are garbage - He didn't have any big money, any signings he made were made on a shoestring budget and were about 6th or 7th on his wanted list. Football played under him was dreadful - What choice did he have? Attack teams with a championship squad or sit tight, organized and play counter attacking football, it may have been dreadful but it worked and you knew we were in safe hands and very unlikely to get a hiding against man city etc every time we played them. What that Saka challenge? It was a huge moment as Saka was away and we had them outnumbered on the counter. Worst case scenario we would have had a shot on target, but there was every chance someone would have won us the European Championships with the last kick of the game making themselves a legend of English football. But Chiellini pulling Saka by the scruff of the neck stops all that and ends up with him lifting the trophy.

Dumfries should be in instead of Walker. He was superb and had so much energy.

So this squad has the possibility to play in the World Cup and the next Euros, that's very promising. Add to that the emergence of other players (willock anyone?!) and we can only get stronger and more experienced. It's a great time to be an England fan after so many years of disappointments. Also I can't think of many other nations who are similar to us in regards to our squad, most seem to be getting weaker as their top players get older or at least staying at the same level. Southgate certainly isn't a Pep or Sir Alex, but I do think he's a really good fit for this England team.

That challenge on saka was a massive massive moment. Saka gets away there and absolute worse case scenario is we get a shot on target. Personally I think we end up getting a goal and winning the tournament. Huge moment.

I can see why people boo the other anthem tbh, make it as hostile as possible for the opposing team when you're at home. Do they hand out fines when people boo and whistle while the away team are in possession? Or when players cup their ear and celebrate in front of the other teams fans I'm pretty sure our anthem was booed in France, Germany, Russia etc. Football is getting so bloody soft man.
