But with the evidence we have I think they are definitely still trying. It just comes down to if a deal can be done with the PL or arbitration goes in our favour.

This honestly changes nothing If PIF are found to be seperate = we win. If not, then we lose. Not a single reliable source has said Ashley is wanting compensation. Everyone (Jacobs, caulkin etc) all say it's to get the takeover deal done. The only person who thinks it's for compo is IMTTS. Ashley would earn far more from future deals with the Saudis than what he would get from the PL. He wants this takeover done for many reasons.

Agree with all that.I still believe FA hasn’t done anything about Bruce cos he thinks the takeover will happen shortly (whatever that timeframe means). Looks like we’re all looking to SA for the next move. That was my thinking too tbh, if Ashley knows it's close there's no way he is sacking Bruce, he won't want to complicate things for the consortium now the deal and price has been agreed, maybe they've told him don't do anything as we'll be the owners soon and we will sort it. Also coming in and getting a new manager would be a big plus for them. The last thing they'll want to do is sack a manager who was appointed by Ashley a week or two before they arrive. It wouldn't be a good start for them with the national media etc. Who knows though. All we can do is specualte.

Yeah it seems everyone is waiting for developments in between SA and Qatar. This appears good news to me as it seems to indicate the PL are willing to settle this before arbitration. Yeah I agree his rants on twitter and his sarcastic tone doesn't come across well, even if he is doing good work for the takeover. It seems anyone who has a different point of view or different take on the things than him, get immediately shot down, followed by a load of laughing faces and zebras From seeing him on the podcast I think he's a decent bloke with good intentions. It's just his social media presence that is poor. Like I've said before though, I genuinely think it's because it's all new to him and its like he's 10 years behind when it comes to knowing how to deal with it.
